Woke up Sunday morning on my side of the bed, feeling better than I had in a while. Guess last night was the first good night's sleep I've had in a while. Dave's side is empty; he must have gotten up early, and headed out somewhere. Just as I'm in the middle of a morning wakeup stretch, the room's phone rings. Greg next door, all energetic, “Gooooood morning! Did I wake you? You ready to start another fun day in paradise?” Bastard is too damn cheerful this early in the day. How's he doing that

Great chapter, and interesting that Raeden has recognized his attraction to Kim, before him does--and is seemingly far more comfortable with it. Looking forward to their realization that they both carry a flame...it'll be a hot chapter! Must admit your chapter description confused me. What questionable choice did Kim make? He's choosen to try to get help for Raeden....but the chapter's unclear if he's followed up on the doctor's offer......or did he? Guess that means we'll hafta find out next chapter!

Damn fine writing....and it begs for followup tales, as Avid Readr mentioned. You did too well with this to just stop now!

Do You Hear What I Hear?
Robert Rex commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Do You Hear What I Hear?
Great chapter! Nice to see the holiday spirit work its way in...and especially gratifying to hear from Peterson. Not certain it's fully mitigated my anger at him, but hes made peace with Wes, and hes trying with the guys. Guess I want him to grovel a little more--but if Wes is happy, guess I should be too. Great job! And looking forward to Angus meeting the family! -
What a great date! You captured the excited nervous energy Clem's experiencing well. And, interesting that he's drawn to the fearlessness of his date..... The next chapters are gonna be eye-opening, I'm sure! Good job!

Dance Floor Revelations
Robert Rex commented on Robert Rex's story chapter in Dance Floor Revelations
Thanks for the review, Gary! I, too, find Barry's direct approach refreshing--no games--but I'm growing to appreciate Dave's "everything in its own time" approach. Dave's obvious interest is tempered by his profession's requirements, but the interest comes through clearly. There's definately more developing between these two. And plenty more to be told in this story. Thanks for following along! -

Kevin, thanks for reading--and following--thie story! Glad you're enjoying it.There's more ahead, so hang on. Think you'll be surprised at some of the things ahead. Thanks for following the story! -
Like a lot of folks here, I found Nifty first....but always wanted more. I wanted writing that focused on a variety of genres; I wanted writing that was actually good, with thought going into crafting the words into emotions and believeable scenes. Above all, I wanted plot lines that actually told a story, didn't run from gay and alternative lives, and weren't just a vehicle to get into the next sex scene. (Not to say that sex isn't sometimes a part of a good plot line!) I read a story from the Goodreads M/M Romance group, and learned of GA there. What a pleasure to discover all that GA offers: serious writers, lots of stories across genres, and a community of people dedicated to celebrating human nature in all it's diversity--and capable of lightening up and welcoming new members and budding writers. And it just keeps getting better.......

Great to see how these characters are growing so multi-faceted! Raeden is such a jumble of conflicting emotions, keeping his host off-balance. Would that change if he gets his infobracelet back? And even more importantly, are we about to see both a physical and emotional coupling? Good writing, fun reading--looking forward to more!

Nicely told story--and fun to see how quickly Frank recognized his attraction to Phil! You've created some good characters, I'm gonna be interested in seeing how you develop them, and where this story goes. Good job--keep writing! We're waiting....... <grin>

Dimitri IS a character...and a finely developed, multi-dimensional one. I'm enjoying his budding relationship with Talin, but like LadyDe, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Is he an undercover cop? A vampire or shape-shifter? A down-low stockbroker with a thirst for revenge for his father's death? There's more here, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the story! Good job--nicely done writing, filling us in on history, but leaving us wanting more! You did well!

Dance Floor Revelations
Robert Rex commented on Robert Rex's story chapter in Dance Floor Revelations
Glad you're enjoying it, Ben! And, no, I would never be one to tease with partial chapters! I just let the story flow as it wants--but at least the chapters are keeping your interest up.Thanks for following the story! Rex -
We settled into a comfortable routine for the next few days. Dave coaching me in the mornings by the pool, regular volleyball with the guys, lazy afternoons by the pool, dinner out at different places at night. By Saturday, I'm getting restless, so Greg, Jonathan, David and I joined our volleyball partners for a day at the beach. It was a change of scenery, but I was still antsy, so when one of the guys suggested drinks and dancing for Saturday night, I was ready. After dinner, we all headed to

What great writing! Been a long time since I've experience so many emotions in a single chapter. --Clem, with time, has managed to harden his heart enough to resist Nathan, and yet, has a sense of both sadness and independence with the end of that relationship. --Clem is something of a "lost boy", still learning what he wants (and doesn't) and yet not quite being able to define it. --Ashlee appears and Clem is attracted; is that because he's readily available? Or because Clem is recognizing some of the things he wants in a man, but can't (or won't) stick to his guns to wait for the total package he wants? Is Ashlee Mr. Right, or simply Mr. Right Now? --And the feeling comes through that it's not necessarily a "type" he's looking for--it's the emotional component of having someone who needs him as much as he needs them that's driving it all. Damn fine writing here....looking forward to the rest of the story!

Chapter 7 - That's a Thing - Rolling In the Deep
Robert Rex commented on kuragari129's story chapter in Chapter 7 - That's a Thing - Rolling In the Deep
Interesting set of characters. You've set up a nice interplay between brothers, as well as options for romantic interests. I'm looking forward to reading more--you've done well! Keep writing! -
University of Texas at Austin

I hadn't read the previous story, either--but immediately felt comfortable with what I picked up here. Plenty of characters to be developed here...looking forward to the next story! Good job! -
What a great message--would that we could do this year round, and not just for holiday! Nicely done!

Fun story--and your song mods worked well! Nicely done!

As everyone else has said, this is a great start to a fine story! Definately plan on diving in further into this pool, Carlos. I really didn't miss the detailed explanations of the true impact of the infection. I suspect, were this to happen in real life, most of us would be in a state of shock, and the true impact of what we see wouldn't develop until much later. PTSD would be rampant afterwards, when the blocked images come back to haunt the survivors. Until you have the luxury of time, you can't afford to think and record--you just have to survive. And the impact of PTSD on the suvivors would be huge. Like Cia, exploring Jesse and his development would be intriguing. Again, definately deserves followup/expansion. Damn fine writing here!

Interesting characters, and you've set up an intriguing plot line. I'm looking forward to see where you take this story! Good job!

Hey, it's the holidays....everyone gets busy--and cutie may be burried with stuff just like the rest of us. Sounds like you've got a great gym; getting to poke/prod other's muscles may be a great motivator!

Glad you're enjoying the story, Ben! But just wait....lots more happening ahead. Thanks for following the story so far!

Nathan truly comes across as a bastard--this wasn't romance, it was rape. And good on Clem...I hope his resolve to end this stays strong!

I'm cuddled up against David's back as I wake, my arm thrown across his chest. Even more surprising, my morning erection is buried in the cleft of his ass. Even with my underwear and his between us, no question about what's happening here. I can rationalize it saying it's been a while since I've slept with someone. Or that I'm lonely, and missing Jackie's intimacy. Or that I got cold during the night. Or some other bullshit. Truthfully, it just feels damn good. Easy. Natural. Like I said, damn
