  1. Not if we all pitch in and keep dropping names. 😄We'll eventually find everyone.
  2. Oh! @Gary L And I'll stop now because I may have already overlapped some names and @Aditus@Jason Rimbaud@Valkyrie@Myr@Cia@Bill W@drsawzall@Headstall@wildone@quokka@drsawzall@drpaladin@Lee Wilson should already know by now how much I appreciate their work. I've been caught binge reading and forgetting to review a good few times already. 😂
  3. Lemme think who else... @kbois@CassieQ@chris191070@Mikiesboy@Timothy M.@W_L There are so many more that haven't already been mentioned. I just can't put my finger on it. Who are we missing? 🤔
  4. See, that's the part that I find hard to believe. I doubt less than 1% of readers on here would copy-paste the same thing on every post everywhere just for points. I say that only because I'm in the top 2% of the point system myself, and as you can clearly see, I ramble just about anywhere with sincerity (albeit misguided sincerity at times).
  5. You want honest opinions and reactions, I get that. It's why my friend Bennie and I always try to record our reactions as we read whenever we comment on anything, but that's because we're writers ourselves and know how much effort it takes to write even the shortest, most haphazard story. But there are all kinds of readers... some resonate so well with your work that they try to express it the best they can. Others don't know how to express it because they are not writers and their gifts lie elsewhere. Even if it feels like fluff, some of it is genuine. If you want more in-depth and honest critiques, ask other writers. I have six people I can name off the top of my head on this site alone that I befriended when we were part of an event together, and we've been swapping segments of stories, opinions, and critiques on stories that aren't even posted yet. Even bestselling authors have several people to whom they show their rough work before they even get to a beta reader or editor. They admit it on interviews and name-drop all the time.
  6. If I misunderstood something, I apologize. I just wanted to point out that speed readers are everywhere, and those rushed responses sometimes aren't as rushed as you think they are. I can bring the chocolate and graham crackers for that bonfire any time. 😉
  7. Now hold on just a darn minute...you are complaining because you are receiving short, quick comments on your work? Everyone under 30 doesn't even leave comments anymore. You'd be lucky to have just some likes tossed your chapter's way. That's just younger generations truly appreciating your work if they took the moment to comment something! I'm a millennial, I've seen it all...the move from chatrooms to messengers to discord...websites to forums to apps. If you are receiving any comments at all, it's kuddos, encouragement, a nod of appreciation of your writing skill. The times of in-depth review-like prose you used to read on the back of paperbacks is long gone. Have you seen the minimal reviews on some of those paperbacks these days? Most are less than 3 words, my friend. Instead of feeling frustrated over your readership's minimal responses, ask them some questions or toss them random trivia about the story or characters that were featured in that chapter. You think the writers before us didn't reply to fan letters? Think of every reaction and comment you receive as someone having gone through the effort to slap a stamp on an envelope and send it to the mailbox because it is basically the digital version of that! Don't believe me? Check your views. Each one is a live person that read that chapter. Now, how many of those left a like or comment on that chapter? Take pride in the activity you receive every time you post and remember that there are stories out there that receive less than 10 views per upload. A little gratitude goes a long way.
  8. Lucky punks, all of them. Those fried bananas would have made me weep with joy. 🤣
  9. The doctors can solve at least some of my woes with surgery. I just need to convince them to do the surgery.
  10. 4/15/2025 Status Update: Nature has been trying to end my life over the last several months. For the last couple of days, it nearly won. I've never felt so dizzy and depleted, not even whenever I donated blood, though I did black out that one time. Why is my doctor's appointment so far away? I need to at least begin to resolve this.
  11. *hides dirt-covered shoes* oh? I've a feeling they won't anymore, regardless? Absolutely. Yes, don't be lazy like me. Instead of reworking an old story's plot and events, I just swept a lot of things under the rug so I can get to newer things. Yeah, I still can't believe the high hopes some people had about my writing. 🤣 The day I write chapters that are more than 10 pages long on anything that is not a collab or a oneshot is the day I no longer need a day job.
  12. Fuck yeah, I'd be writing so much fanfiction bout K-pop bands if I hadn't gotten into them only when Big Bang and TVXQ/DBSK were starting to get big. Shit. I lost the line I was reading. Be right back. At the moment, there is a group of people that actively dislike me. - Excuse me? Do you need me to help you bury some bodies? Cause I'm about to hunt me a shovel right now. Didn’t they know I was the best thing that ever happened to GA? - I mean, you are to me. But I'm biased AF. I already said I'd help you bury bodies. I am extremely self-aware and know I’m not a really likable person online or in real life for that matter. - I couldn't disagree more. You're one of my most favorite people. They watched me pull into the space, but they were so oblivious of anyone around them, and didn't even think twice about blocking me inside my car. - The Hispanic in me would have honked the horn so many times by then I'd have gotten the whole apartment complex yelling. 🤣I'd have played NSync's Bye Bye Bye with that car horn. In retaliation, I unplugged his Tesla multiple times a day. Even setting alarms in the middle of the night to go into the parking garage to unplug his car. - Okay, that's even better. Hope you didn't get caught. I swear the cosmos knew not to have us born in the same town around the same time as I'd have been helping you do things like this the whole time. Because I no longer believe I’m a good writer, because I know it will never be anything but a fun hobby - But I know how to publish on kindle! Just you wait til you finish the Glacier Bay series, and we'll revisit this. But to the art of writing, plotting, constructing, structure, I have a long way to go to even consider myself okay. - PFFT! If you have a long way to go, I have twice as long as you. Please don't say these things. 🤣I know it's coming from other feelings and a lack of confidence, but I swear to the cosmos, you're at least twice as good as me. After years of me writing stories and him reading them, my husband started urging me to share them since I spent so much time and effort on them. - Yay! Thank him in my stead. And in my usual fashion, I commented in the thread attempting to make him laugh. - Yeah, those secret author threads were as entertaining as the stories themselves. We had way too much fun.
  13. Well, I did my job, and the intern was hired. Met with two amazing women bringing light and kindness into their community. I never heard of someone actually admitting they sought a PhD just because they "didn't want others to tell them what to do." The egos of the doctors and professors I used to work with are starting to make sense. The way they manage to disarm a group of people on the fly with sheer charisma was impressive. It was worth going. But enough talk of that. I don't work on weekends and do my best to forget work even exists until Monday.
  14. 4/4/2025 Status Update: All week long, I've been making do with being the only functional department member overseeing 92 youth internships and all of the paperwork and scheduling that entails. I know it's rough everywhere and so many places are woefully understaffed, not just us. But if it wasn't for one pending youth and their amazing career coach that are expecting me in three hours at a worksite, I would walk out right now and take PTO for the rest of the day. They are the one case that caused no delays and compromised every step of the way. The one case that gave no complaints or pressure, that waited patiently for their turn. They deserve an unbroken Thirdly with a big smile on her face explaining the details of the internship bringing nearly completed paperwork to make the signing aspect as painless as possible. I have 3 hours to superglue the currently broken pieces of Thirdly back together hoping to the cosmos that my eyes are not bloodshot from crying because I have no eydrops and they'll think I smoked weed or something instead.

  16. I'm not sure if anyone's already shared this. But I've been listening to all 40 songs for the last two weeks as if it's all just one big song, and this is why (it's worth watching the entire playlist...different animators, but one cohesive story!):

    Chapter 1

Dr. Alka. 😂 Well, it all made sense to me. Thanks for all your hard work, prompt team! ❤️
  18. 3/27/2024 Status Update: In physical news, I have an appointment next month to see my new doctor and begin the process of a surgery I was trying my best not to have to do. Nature has given me no choice. That, and genetically, I was always kind of screwed in the regard of that particular organ...my own mother and two older sisters all needed the same surgery. In mental news, I think I have also started the process of being properly diagnosed. I've always questioned whether I was neurotypical or neurodivergent. Hopefully that will be figured out at some point. To be honest, neither option will please me. But it would be nice to know. In writing news, I am going to finish converting a very old story to a specific point of view so that I can then complete it. I've already committed to it. There's no turning back.
  19. She's a trip.
  20. Yes. This.
  21. Yeah the whole vertigo falling feeling makes me jump right out of my skin. Sometimes I see my dreams as an observer, watching like I'm watching a movie. Other times, I live the idiocy of the character in my dream right through their eyes. Very rarely is it present day me in my dream, but a plethora of random people I've never met before. A scientist out in space, a French manwhore, a redheaded lady pretending she wasn't literate for some reason, a cave man trying to outrun a pandemic...never the same person twoce.

    This is the end...

    Same! Bring on the collab!
  23. Yesterday I got the inking of the vamp down (though I'm not sure of his nose...I tried to use part of my nose as reference and I remembered that mine was downturned and looked different at the same angle than the "average" nose [I mean, how can anyone forget the shape of their own nose? I can, apparently], but we'll see how it looks like with colors and go from there). I also have most of the background down (though it still looks a tad off because, again, I'm lazy and take too much creative license with perspective🤔). Like I said before, though, I'll show you when I have the solid base colors down.
  24. Right? For example, @kbois's The Last Unicorns - Fiction - Gay Authors should be sorted in Comedy somewhere. It was one of the most comedic stories I read all year.
  25. But that is still an important Glacier Bay setting teaser! 🤣 All other settings now pale in comparison to its gloriousness.
