A quiet, solitude life without stress, commitment or responsibility is all Ed wants. But when his new neighbors move in next door, it all seems to have come to an end. Alex, a teenage brat, has made it his life goal to befriend Ed no matter the cost. Is friendship all that the odd, wired kid wants...or does he have other feelings towards the giant, grumpy bear? (R18, love, loneliness, friendship, neighbors, slow burn, darkcomedy, mxb, age gap, mental health)
  2. Luckily this chapter isn't too long or distracting. The next chapter however has Ash walking into that lion's den. 😈
  3. Glad it didn't feel too jarring. I always try to improve my transitions.
  4. ...and yet Ash is still his own worst enemy.
  5. Glad to hear that!
  6. I blame Ash for that one. He was the one dangerously skipping through memory lane and then tripped over his own two feet.

  14. ✨Agreed.
  15. Oh, he's a scaredy-rabbit for sure. He's also very paranoid. We'll see how long it takes for him to trust some more.
  16. Cove is just being a dad. In his defense, he really was just the messenger that time.
  17. *dying* 🤣
  18. Ah, but caught rabbits can still scamper away...
  19. Cove certainly has an ally in his daughter
  20. Cove is persistent when it comes to what he cares about. Ash is one of those people.

    Prologue

Glad you're enjoying it so far.
  22. He's stressing about things he shouldn't even be fretting about.
  23. You're killing me! 🤣
  24. I focused on the conversation Siena and Cove brought to the table. They discussed their careers and, more importantly, the sacrifices they had made for their families. I couldn't fully relate, but hearing their struggles made my own frustrations feel lighter—and made me feel less alone. The conversation faded as the afternoon slipped by. Suddenly, it was time to pay for our meals. After finishing her food, Siena excused herself, leaving me alone with Cove. I had a feeling she was tryin
