  1. The pace is going too fast, but hey, this is great for those short attention spans. Squirrel!
  2. I think Snow knows how to out Louis. Usually, a completely straight guy would totally say right away he's not interested. Addicting! I think faxity is right, rereading helps jogs the memory better. I initially saw the beauty in the story, we can see all beauty in everything, but it doesn't mean we'd be interested in the beauty. Somehow, we just need the right time and place. Yay!

    Settling In

Finding a job even with ID and SS# can also be hard. It's all about connections, so it's a good thing Louis is somewhat connected. Snow is really lucky. Don't ya think things are happening too fast? I don't think I would let a complete stranger rent a room in the same space with me. Then again, I lived in the dorms for four years of college. Is there a reason why guys like to rent two-bedroom apartments? These are apartments, right? Did I miss something? I'd be frugal and rent just one room. In Los Angeles, people sleep on couches all the time and rent space there too until they get on their feet.

    Red Handed

You had me at food. Thanks for breakfast! Also, Louis has nice neighbors. I wish my neighbors would kindly give me food once in a while. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the second chapter had me hooked!

  6. I was trying to find an English version of this, but here's "The Moon Represents My Heart" violin cover:
  7. yes.
  8. Impossible. But I hear, we're supposed to be all bisexual human beings.
  9. We can still change it. Thank you!
  10. You were the only one that did it, Hiroko, the one-of-a-kind backhand. Raw talent on the court, would it have been better in a different country? With people who spoke the same language and shared the same culture, would you have gone further --would you have been a tennis phenom? You were the only one that did it, Hiroko, the one-of-a-kind backhand.
  11. As I try to somehow redeem myself of the past, I want to introduce to the world, Hiroko (loosely based on real life), and the protagonist she's starting to become, in my world of exceptional fiction.
  12. I love how the poem begins and ends with virtually the same line. Beautiful. One of my favorite poems.
  13. There's a 2014 movie called The Judge that kind of suggests incest. At that time, the parties didn't know, and then finally, one of them finds out that he's related to the lady he sort of made out with.

    Chapter 1

Hey Menace. Thanks for sharing your work. We get to know you better. Awesome!

    Meeting Snow

Realistic to the point I can visualize every detail in the story. Inkredible! (I swear, if you don't like this word, you will never hear from it again.) This one was easy to follow, even for a sleeping zombie, so yay! Thank you for sharing your words.

    warning

I have a lot of fond memories of this poem "Warning" and it all started in high school, when I found it and I did a presentation for it in English class. It always gets to me. How funny that there's a purple shirt for James. Why does it matter what we wear, people will know who we are? It's a very touching story and a great tribute to the poem! Thank you for sharing!

    Curiosity

What a way to start a story! I fell immediately in love with Erin. If it wasn't for your description, I wouldn't have thought of Erin as being a guy. Because, usually, Erin is the girl's version of Aaron. Weird, I know. The beginning definitely draws readers in, wanting to root for Erin's happiness. Fax-tastic! P.S. Wow, that's a lot to take in the beginning, but really worth it, because I know Erin right away like some best friend I want to help as much as I can. You're going to make it a happy ending, right? Right? Do it! Do it!
  18. Hi, I'm going to say that I'm not so new to the site after this video. I believe this is an acceptable YouTube video, and very inspirational to me, regardless of age, gender AND ethnicity. The English transcript is in the description. Country music in the background. What a woman. A fellow Vietnamese les.
  19. I actually watched it all the way through, and I can see why the former cast members refuse to acknowledge it nor did they endorse the movie. But I think they all portrayed the characters nicely and didn't damage their image at all. It was decent, and I guess I was a huge fan back then. I think it was honest, but maybe some of it was fabricated to fit into the amount of time allowed for the film.
  20. I was bummed out that I couldn't reply to the posting about Halloween costumes. Why not have a new one? What are you for Halloween? Costumes? Any plans? Oregon is rainy today. I've got my lobster claw headband on. With a small black cape tied to my red hoodie. Got Halloween socks on. Will have my skeleton gloves on after I'm done typing. I like to have my hands naked for typing important things like Happy Halloween!
  21. I've been to NYC by myself and have walked those streets with no problem. Maybe I was lucky. I blend in with the homeless. Of course, I didn't dress up and I covered those assets of mine. I wear no makeup. Maybe I blended well. Maybe it's because I've grown up trying to make sure no one's looking at me. Maybe because I go looking for danger, so danger doesn't go looking for me. Or maybe because these things happen all the time? My mom told me that she had to make herself look ugly so that the pirates of the sea won't take notice of her, so that stuck with me, and I acted accordingly ever since.
  22. I drove by San Jose last month, and thought about stopping there for a visit. According to the Winchester Mystery House, yes, there are claims. Winchester rifles claimed countless lives during the Civil War (I've read this at another site somewhere, not so long ago), so the house was continuously built until Mrs. Winchester's death. It was to appease the ghosts that had fell victim by those rifles. All that wealth only to be haunted by ghosts your entire life, I'd rather be poor and healthy.
  23. One Friday afternoon, I came out to my dad first, in Vietnamese. The following Sunday, I came out to my mom, in Vietnamese as well. They love me but they're still having some difficulties in understanding. They've stressed that being close to death, in age, they don't want anymore shock coming their way. Your story, and mine, are the lucky ones. Some could be kicked out and homeless. I wonder if it is true today? In less acceptable countries, it is against the law and is punishable by death or prison. We're living in a very fortunate world, and sometimes, we need stories like yours to remind us how amazing life is when it is shared with our loved ones. Thank you for sharing.
  24. PS2. games were less complicated back then. lol.
