  1. Goodness, just realised Mandelson is in the list. -British politician - of sorts. Bit of a hate figure for quite a few groups. Did not expect that at all. ------------- Stephen Fry's been open about it for quite a while . I watched this interview thing with him a few years ago about his life - was very interesting and touching. He's got a partner but he never appears in the media. He's also done a lot of work on opening up the world of manic depressives to the public.
  2. I'm enjoying the story still . Did you meet the monkey's ?
  3. what do you think, agree? anyone missed off? Just randomly found this while reading the Independent. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/news/the-iiosi-pink-list-2010-2040472.html 1= (new entry) Gareth Thomas; Rugby player The revelation of Thomas's homosexuality in an interview with the Daily Mail last December confirmed what had been an open secret in rugby union for years after his separation from his wife, but it highlighted the taboo over gay people in professional sport. Thomas, the 35-year-old former Wales and British & Irish Lions captain, won 103 international caps and played club rugby for Cardiff Blues and Toulouse. He said in his interview that he was unaware of any other gay player "still in the game". From living a lie, he has taken on the role of campaigner, working with Childline to reach out to young people facing the dilemma with which he struggled from the age of 17. The reaction in the macho world of rugby has been universally sympathetic although, earlier this summer, as Thomas was playing his second game of rugby league for south Wales side Crusaders, he was subjected to homophobic abuse from Castleford fans, for which the Yorkshire club was fined
  4. I'm not sure how 'formal' it was - I'm thinking informal. and it's strange, further down the main street or whatever it did get darker. there were far less lights around. maybe it was just less red glow. but to be honest, I don't really know. I wasn't the most comfortable in that part of town, but was there because my friends wanted to explore.
  5. are you doing a tour of france? Or europe? wish I was back to travelling again.
  6. If I come I will probably be staying with friends. Only way I'll be able to afford it and what I always do when I visit London.
  7. Just thinking ... if GA did want to widen their site, then they could approach some authors and invite a block over in one go to start a mini-community here as well, to begin with at least. I think it would be quite popular. Women do like to read. I don't think that is the reason why there aren't any female stories here.
  8. You could try this as well. Let me know if you find anything you like. http://blmiller.net/room/index.htm
  9. Ok, so you're serious . Fiction press has a few on there, the site you are reading on at the moment - try searching on there for slash You'll probably find some good m/m stories on there too, more than the female ones (f/f), but just keep scrolling. oh and change the search feature to update date - don't know why just seems better. http://www.fictionpress.com/ This is a bit of a messy format but more stories in one place as it is dedicated to it. A lot are quite short too. http://www.melswebs.com/stories.htm Or try this, lots more there: http://www.sapphicvoices.com/index.html let me know if you want more. of course there is the actual published stuff you can buy as well.
  10. can't tell to you much. My friends went to some gay clubs/bars while they were there, but I arrived late so can't fill you in. There is a gay section of the red light district, but I didn't wander that far down. It got a bit dodgy if you went too far, more dodgy I mean . Just assume it's more friendly everywhere, at least compared to some countries. I really liked amsterdam, all the lovely tulips.
  11. good summary . Don't forget that buses are cheaper as well. I think it's something like
  12. they just don't seem to be on here. but there are other places you can find them if you did want.
  13. that's a film? just thought it was a book.
  14. HARVEY. about a giant rabbit. it's a black and white film. not a cartoon. it's brill.
  15. some hostels can be Very nice. more like boutique hotels but I can see what you mean.
  16. Spain win!!!!
  17. As much as Manu is closer for me too. There are people coming from europe and other places and London is the capital and has the most links. But then again Manchester is quite connected. It's also bigger , and it would be a good excuse to visit friends of mine who now live in London. There are some good train deals you can get. Though you can get ripped off as well.
  18. This is for those who haven't a clue what we are talking about . Scroll down to the bottom for the actual bio of each person. Not that they are actually accurate based on what I've watched . Shabby: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/shabby-katchadourian/ Keeva/Kiba/Caoimhe http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/caoimhe-guilfoyle/ Dave/ Crazy Monk http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/david-vaughan/ John-James http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/john-james-parton/ Mario http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/mario-mugan/ (and his thing about not wearing his heart on his sleeve, certainly doesn't seem true after what he's been like with Ben) Ben http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/benjamin-duncan/ and I can't be bothered with the rest for now...
  19. Keeva, Nephy? Why?? I don't like her at all. She scowls far too much. Do you think she is leading Shabby on, or just putting it out of her mind and having a good time with a friend? I suppose it's just not good being cooped up all the time with someone you really like but doesn't like you back. Shabby is immature though. So up and down. But I do like her. I think I'd like to see what she's like without Keeva there. (or however you spell/pronounce her name ). I find Ben funny, but at the same time he is a complete arse. He's so selfish and oblivious to things around him. Think this will get him that career in america is wants? I think you're right Dave could be a good laugh. He's also very cuddly with Ben.
  20. I'll have to see where I am in the world then - a whole year to predict, but it's certainly a maybe
  21. I'm not sure whether there's enough new detail in the programme for you. I recognised quite a bit from this story, so I was ahead of the class .What is was primarily doing was looking at various logs and identifying a few people and looking briefly at who they were and what their role was and where'd they come from. But it was interesting. And having a visualisation of sorts was good. It also looked at Nelson's tactics in the battle he famously died in.
  22. This is sad, very very sad . But I've occasionally being watching this final series of Big Brother. hit me but anyone else? favourite people? cringy situations? in terms of gay characters - there's at least 2. Mario and Shabby. Who both have big crushes that aren't working out. http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother
  23. A football . Or ball. But why would people want all those injuries? I know too many people who knackered their body from their teens and young twenties from rugby, where's the fun in that? They wear teethguards, that's about it I think. But I do like to watch it in person occasionally. But only if I've got someone to explain it to me as it goes. And 1 goal only if it's a boring match or a really hard one (or you're right a really boring one). They can get loads of goals , look what happened to england versus germany .
  24. It's the same the other way though
