  1. Drew has had zero impact on me or my personality. But you appear to be in Egypt right now.
  2. It’s a fake list, @clochette’s name isn’t on there.
  3. Asking a question is bullying?
  4. It takes one to spot one.
  5. I was making a reference, you dummy.
  6. No room for Second or Third Dinner, Mr. Drewdo?
  7. It's mostly the more affluent characters that do this, but it always seems to show up, even if it's not stated. One series that I really enjoyed, had one of the main characters living away from home and going to college while he and his best friend ran a bar. The kid came from money, so you could read between the lines that sure helped these college kids run a bar while going to school. Anyway, later on in the series the kid's father suffers a minor injury, but his mother calls him like his dad is on his deathbed and he jumps on a plane to Hong Kong. While they are there visiting (and the father scolds the mother for being so overly dramatic) the father just happened to have a big meeting with future investors (blah, blah, blah) and the mother insists that the father's injured arm totally prevents him from going to the meeting, but oh look our son just happens to be here and will fill in. They subtly say his time to step up has come. Keep in mind, he still has his own business to run. But a few times later this young man suddenly has to go to out of town meetings with his dad for the remainder of the series.
  8. Mostly just the little cultural quirks. Social hierarchy (things that would be absolutely ridiculous to westerners). One example of this that I have been loudly complaining about (through text) is this plot that has showed up again and again is a dead beat (or emotionally abusive dead beat) parent just somehow showing up in their adult children's lives and the child be completely understandably angry and wanting nothing to do with these selfish assholes. But their significant other just automatically expects (or sometimes demands) that the wronged child just apologize (for being victims I guess) and letting them back into their lives. Because they are their "dad" or "mom". Now over here in the western hemisphere we don't consider a sperm or egg donor who abandons their children, but suddenly tries to worm their way back into their adult children's lives rightful parents.
  9. Most series tend not to dip into polyamory or non-traditional romantic entanglements. I saw one I could stand but it the series was a 7 out of 10 at best. The one series that was actually really good, and could have gone this route (Only Friends) decided to go with more traditional couples and ruined the entire series into forcing these toxic characters into this pseudo happy ending.
  10. You and I know this, but our Asian friends apparently seem not to.
  11. It would be, it weren't in Thailand, there it's almost a life threatening activity, or so almost every BL I've ever watched would have me believe.
  12. Nicky, you little troll in the making, you know there was no misspelling there.
  13. Ok, so I'm watching this Thai BL (as I do) and this couple is in the rain kissing... Who's going to wipe them down with a wet cloth when they both have a fever at the same time. (Disclaimer: it's a flashback scene and I haven't watched further)
  14. He said I had to agree with him on everything all the time and I said no.
  15. It's called a typo math wiz.
  16. It's funny, you wished Pagey's sons had the Chicken Pox, and then you go on to say you're always nice other everyone... like 3 posts ago. You're not very good as gaslighting.
  17. What are you the head "fact scrubber" for the Ministry of Drewth?
