It was a compromise made in desperation, but the Queen is tough and driven by relentless determination. She will not be idle for too long.

    The Spark

*tries not to blush* Thank you very much! It was a hard choice for the Queen, but her kind of intelligence works differently from ours. And her emotions are complex and hard to predict.

    The Spark

Chapter 10. The Spark We walked for a long time in the darkness, side by side in the ever-narrowing tunnel. My weakness from earlier was gone. We were descending, and as we did so the temperature rose slowly but steadily. There was nothing to see, but there was only one way to follow so getting lost wasn't an option. The surface of the tunnel we followed was rough underfoot but sufficiently smooth that we didn’t once stumble over a fallen rock or trip over a hidden depression beneath our

    The Tunnel

Chapter 9. The Tunnel I opened my eyes and wiped 02-spark from my face. It didn't burn anymore. I spat some of it out; there was blood mixed with it, and for an idle instant I wondered if I was about to die. Then I coughed. Dust was everywhere, choking me. Andy. I shifted in my position as much as I could. Something stirred beneath me. Frantically, I dug through the debris, unmindful of how the sharp rocks tore at my hands, and after shoving some small rocks out of the way my hands t

    The Attack

Chapter 8. The Attack My eyes snapped open when the vibrations coming through the floor suddenly changed, getting much more intense. Andy stirred a second later. “Bentley's coming closer,” he said, his voice muffled by my chest but already fully awake as well. Andy rolled away from me and I sat up, stretching. I had no idea how much time had passed but I felt well rested, even though my entire body was covered in painful bruises from the fights. Judging from the feeling, at least a few
  23. thank you! when I write a story, I normally have all of these little details planned out in advance, but sometimes I don't get to mention them outright during the narrative because it would interfere with the pace of the story. It's good to be able to finally explain everything, though!

    The Night

I'm glad you liked the chapter! Rick finally found what he wanted - a strong Dom that's the real deal. A strong man like him could never settle for anything less.
