Jim's idea was to package a dinner in his usual paper plates and cups. The person buying the dinner would have his own plate and at dinner time he would transfer his food to his plate to microwave it. Jim didn't provide the plate.

This is an interesting comment. When I lived in Amsterdam there was a restaurant called Mom's (English translation) on their opening night, they asked patrons to bring their own dishes, cups and silver ware, etc. The idea was the dinner would be free but you had to leave your place setting. When you went there, your food was served on these place settings.

I think Paul wanted to finish high school at the school he was attending. That would be a normal reaction. Paul was also glad his mother was leaving since they didn't live in a nice place. His mother stayed because of Paul, now she could go and Paul would be looked after. She saw it as a win-win situation.

Paul was finishing up schooling. To pull out of high school in the middle of the year and starting a new school can be problematic. Paul's mother probably wouldn't have gone. She only left when she knew Paul was going to be okay. Paul was happy to finish and knowing his mom was going to be okay allowed him to concentrate on school.

Yes they are. A bond is forming among the boys.

Actually there are wooden plates that can be washed, even in a dish washer. But there are made of a special wood. I think his idea of bringing your own plates the best. There wife will make sure the plates are clean. The paper pouch would work if the meal is a one dish meal.

Yes, it is of concern. Jim stayed open until eight to serve dinner, one time. Maybe with more boys, he could do that.
