    Chapter 10

There is also a few devils among us. The parents of these boys listen to the devil, but we all know that the Saints beat the Devils. Thanks for your comments. I always look for yours as well the other faithful readers .

    Chapter 10

It took a while for Jake to relax. He really thought he killed his dad. Jim's dad put him at ease.

    Chapter 10

I don't know what he said, he was too far from the car. But what ever he said, it was convincing for Jake to take the chance. If I was Jake, I would probably do anything for the promise of food. Seriously, I'm sure Denny told him about himself and being saved, offering him the same opportunity.

    Chapter 10

As I was reviewing the performance of Food Truck Inc, results showed a fifteen percent increase over previous year. The catering business provided a major portion of the growth. Paul arrived three days before New Year’s, so we put him to work. He stayed in his old room and I knew that the boys would bring him up-to-date. Paul was doing well in college. He told the boys once they had their GED, they should enroll in a university or at least a community college. Having Paul talk to the boys wa

No, they were would be considered as investors. Jim is still the owner. It's like buying stock on the stock market, you are consider an investor unless you own a majority of the stock, then you are the owner. No resentment, the boys have a well established relationship with Jim, they recognize the need for a third person after Paul left. Actually the boys do look upon Jim's parents as their mom and dad.

    Chapter 9

I think that Jim is being paid back for his open minded hiring practices. Do good and good will be returned.

    Chapter 9

I am willing to listen to any suggestions. At one time I thought about owning a food truck, but that was a long time ago. Most of Jim's foods are prepped in the kitchen. Breakfast is cooked on the truck, soups are made in the kitchen, store in the cold box, then reheated on the truck. Sandwiches are made on the truck. As Jim's business grew, he recognized the value of the kitchen.

    Chapter 8

You're right, the little extras gives Jim an edge. His catering business is doing okay, he has, with the help of the boys, developing a more extensive catering menu.

    Chapter 47

Now I wonder who Brandon is going to find. I'm not sure if I would trust Danny and Fernando. They seem like the type that like to play games. Good chapter.

    Chapter 8

Yes, most people like the same food and not into being adventurous with new dishes. Jim can now prep some foods in advance since he has a freezer and cold box. Stabilizing on fixed menus also provides a consistency in pricing. Soon the boys will take over a lot of the routine cooking. Jim will find himself overseeing rather than being hands on. Not sure if he will like that.

    Chapter 7

I did go and check out that recipe for Fasnachts. I had to laugh, I have eaten them when my dad was alive. He would make them, and told us they were fried donuts. We ate them with cinnamon sugar. I always knew them as fried donuts. Thanks for letting me relive a loving memory.

    Chapter 7

I have never had these then. I'll need to check out the recipe. Molases is less sugar than the normal syrup we use. I actually prefer maple syrup, particularly home made.

    Chapter 9

I wanted to show that everyone has value, if given the chance. The boys have found a home, they are loved, they are respected. I think any person given those attributes would respond to the best of their abilities. Kids on the street, have value if given a chance.

    Chapter 9

Jim owes a lot of his success to those two. I find it amusing, two boys tossed away by their parents now a part owner in a business that depends on them. Jim is okay in my book. The boys are working on their education as well, encouraged by Jim. What? No goodies today?

    Chapter 9

As in the past two years, no one worked on the Friday following Thanksgiving. The boys and I used the time to clean the food truck and the kitchen. There was no need to clean the bedrooms. I always thought that was odd, until I realize that for them, their bedroom was their home. And as far as I was concerned, that area would always be treated as their home. Saturday, we made our usual visit to Restaurant Supply. Now that we have our own freezer we could purchase larger quantities of meat,

    Chapter 8

Yes, pats on the back for Paul. Even though Paul is away at college, he will always be involved with the food truck in one way or another. As for the baker, he lost a profitable customer. He better be on his toes, Jim just might begin to sell his breads and pies to his customers at the Park, which could lead to sales outside of the Park.

    Chapter 8

There is a lot of truth in that adage. I wouldn't say it is old, it is more like an eternal truth. There is wisdom in your words, thanks

Buz, you are not playing fair. I can't get those foods you are raving about. I think you are a tease.😋

    Chapter 8

The baker's bottom line, he lost. Now that Jim has the ability to do his own baking, the baker has lost a good customer. Jim's orders are still holding up. Jim is clever the little extra he adds will keep bringing his customers back.
