    Chapter 22

Your mother fishes? I think you meant Father, but that is okay, I understood. Not only are they "Icky" but can be a little slimy as well. Yes, trips to Europe were always fun for me.

    Chapter 22

Yes, the trip is nice, but that isn't needed for a happy family. Those boys have gone to heaven and the fishing, at their door step. Wait until they go nut and berry picking. I wonder how they will react when they see their first deer.

    Chapter 22

I think the boys have begun to bond with Alan and Cody. It seem James acts a lot older than his age. That could only come from having to grow up quickly. He can relax now and maybe begin to enjoy life as a boy and not a man.

    Chapter 22

Yep and two boys who must think they have hit the jackpot. I'm glad for the boys, their life before Cody and Alan must have been terrible. I guess you have to go through a little hell before you get a little heaven

    Chapter 22

You are welcome. It was an opportunity that was given to Alan. He had thought he wouldn't be going back to Europe on business. I did that once and it was great to share Europe with family. Those boys will be the envy of a lot of teens. Bet Andy and Rich will tag along.

    Chapter 22

Driving to town to buy fishing rods, the boys thanked Andy for showing him around. Cody watched the interaction through the rear view mirror. He was glad that Andy and the boys were getting along. They went to a sports store and bought fishing rods for the boys. Andy took the lead and picked out a rod for each boy. Cody saw a starter fishing kit and bought one for each of the boys. They were ready to go fishing. “Cody, let’s go to the trout stream and see what we can catch.” Cody thought tha

    Chapter 21

That should tell you something. Considering what Little information Mrs. Benish told Alan and Cody, you can imagine what the boys had experienced.

    Chapter 21

Yes, I think Mrs. Benish was glad that the boys weren't split up. Can you place yourself in the boys shoes? They must have been scared thinking that. If that would have happened, I'm sure they would have ran away.

    Chapter 21

Are you a romantic? I think you are. Mrs. Benish didn't offer any reason for the abandonment. Cody wasn't interested in the why, he fell in love with those boys the minute his eyes landed on them. I know the boys had to be scared. Cody put them at ease, he was a natural. Not sure about a dog, in those woods it would be barking all the time. I know a couple that had a dog there, the dog was allowed to roam free until he came home after being sprayed by a skunk. PS. You're welcome

    Chapter 21

There are a lot of parents that shouldn't have children. It is sad that there isn't a way to predict who should have children and who shouldn't. If there was a way, I wouldn't like that as well. That would be like police state, but there are times when you have a wish, and at the same time hope thatch wish doesn't come true.

    Chapter 21

Yes and Cody will be a good role model for them. Alan will be the serious one and keep everything on course.

    Chapter 21

I agree about Andy. Having a bedroom on the first floor, probably helped as well. Mrs. Benish didn't go into much detail about the parents. She either didn't know or wasn't going to tell. I'm sure the boys were frightened. Cody and Alan must have been like angels to those boys.

    Chapter 21

When you have been abandon, they must have thought they went to heaven. Cody is over the mountain in joy.

    Chapter 21

    Chapter 21

When the day arrived, Cody and I drove to Mrs. Benish’s office in Pittsburgh. Entering the offices of Child Services, we were told Mrs. Benish was expecting us. The receptionist took us to a small conference room. Mrs. Benish came in and I introduced her to Cody. “Mr. Bradley I have Miss Brown’s report. Evidently she thought you would be a perfect foster parent for the right child. It’s very difficult to find homes for older children. I have the records of two boys, brothers, who parents hav

    Chapter 20

I get it. True, the second bedroom would have to be given up. Remember Andy's room, that was the original guest room. Andy isn't going to be there forever. Assuming when Andy graduates and starts working or going to college, his affection for Cody would turn into a different type of relationship which would probably free up the guest room.

    Chapter 20

As hard as it to understand, family services in certain parts of the country would rather see a child put into a institutional home for children rather see them be placed with a gay couple as foster children let alone as adopted children. This is changing but a lot of people who are in charge of these family services are religious fanatics who will no everything possible to prevent gay people from associating with a child. How would a separate structure protect a child, it wouldn't make any difference if the adult is a deviate.
