    Chapter 20

You have spoken the truth, my friend. A nerve wracking experience, full of frustration, worrying, and hoping for good news.

    Chapter 20

I think that would be the case for everyone who wanted to adopt or foster. The unknown, did we pass or not, always causes a concern.

I spoke the the writer of this blog, he assured me that every thing is going to be okay. He said there is a surprise coming😉

    Chapter 20

School resumed which meant I was left pretty much alone during the day. That suited me fine, it allowed me to catch up Board issues and to make an important phone call to Child Services in Pittsburgh. In our phone conversation, they indicated what information they would need including references. Getting that information from Cody without telling him what I was doing was going to be tricky. Some of it I already had, but I needed confirmation of that information. I made a list, I had to get i

    Chapter 19

Thanks, not too much drama but I think a 'good feel' story, at least that was my intention.

Yes, that keeps the home fire burning, if you catch my drift

    Chapter 19

They would. I think any loving set of people would make a great set of parents, and it can be a set of the same sex parents. One of these days people will wake up and there won't be the hassle that some people have to go through. Sorry about the soap box

Yes, not many such places exist. And that is a black mark against our society

    Chapter 19

I think Alan is just. not up to keeping up with young people. I remember many times at ny grandparents sitting in front of a fireplace, and going to sleep. It is almost a hypnotic experience.

    Chapter 19

Wow, the ink isn't even dry. You must have been checking out stories. Yes, unfortunately you do hear about people who go after the money, neglecting the children. I think Cody and Alan would prefer to adopt, but being foster parents is the next best thing if it's down with love. Thanks for commenting.

    Chapter 19

Landing at Pittsburgh, we quickly got our luggage, found the car and headed home. When we pulled into the driveway, we had to park at the end of 2 cars. Lights were on, “Mary and Brian must be here. I gave her the keys to check on the place while we were gone.” They must have either heard us or seen our lights, but soon the garage door opened and Brian came to help the kids unload the trunk. He put the boy’s luggage into his car and Nancy Jeans luggage into the other car. Entering the ki

I'm glad you got to see New York City and I bet your Mom enjoyed it as well. For you New York would be an exciting trip just as anyone on the East coast would find Washington and exciting trip. Thanks for your comment

    Chapter 18

Do you know that you can order anyone to do anything, within reason, by doing it with a smile. Try it sometimes, you'll be surprised. People will not think you're being a dictator, and do it. If you happen to meet anyone who use to work for me, please don't tell them what I just told you about the smile.

    Chapter 18

You should do it once if you can. There is one thing that will beat it, in my book, curled up on the couch with a special someone, in front of a fire in the fire place, a glass of Champaign, watching a New York New Years eve program.

    Chapter 18

Could be, I don't remember ever having a pizza in New York. Where ever I lived I had two conditions for pizza, 1. the owner had to be Italian and 2. had to be baked on a wood fired oven. Not always successful, and when not, I made my own.

    Chapter 18

In my stories the weather is always great. 😀 Actually New York at this time of year isn't bad. You you have to bundle up but you don't mind it.

    Chapter 18

Yes, the pandemic has changed a lot. I hope that soon, we will be able to return to enjoying the novelty of a large city as New York

    Chapter 18

The nice thing about having a great vacation, is the ability to relive those times, over a cup of coffee, in your own home. Memories are not often correct, but they are still there to reminince about. They usually start off with, "Do you remember..." Thanks for reading

    Chapter 18

I hope someday you may get your wish. Surprise but New York is not known for their pizza, that's Chicago's claim. When you get to New York, and I'm sure you will one day,. you must have lunch at a Jewish Deli, the food is phenomenal. I'm not sure the Deli on Second Avenue is still there, but that is where I usually ate.
