    Making: Smokey Potato and Chickpea Stew, and Oatmeal Raisin cookies (no flour) today. Yesterday was lazy cabbage rolls.

    You should and prompts are a good way to begin. I wrote the opening chapters for two of my longer stories, Changes and The Searcher as prompts, they were not posted but i save everything. One day while looking through the archives, the stories were ready to write. So make notes, write things in your spare time. Just go for it!

    Hi Gary and thank you for reading this. I try my best to write things off the beaten path. I think that's what I enjoy most about short stories and vignettes: the chance to write about many different topics. Also, I have a short attention span!! Seriously though, thank you for reading these little tidbits. I am grateful.

    Thanks, Gary. I've written several longer stories, but I'm not a grand saga type of author. Prompts are interesting and force you to write in a different way. I guess they are like the tasting menu rather than the eight-course dinner. Both can be delicious and fill you up. Thanks again, Gary, for reading.

    Thanks, kbois. There have been a number of books and films/shows about phone booths, you're right. It was the Wind Phone that i found very touching. I'm glad people are happy to determine what's happening here. I wouldn't dream of telling them. Thanks for reading!

    You deserve both a 😆 and a ❤️. That made me laugh. It's a good question. Why would you chase a moving phone booth... i'd run the other way! Hopefully, Chase will be able to find his way back to some happiness in his life.

    Thank you, Wayne. Yeah, it could be any of those. You can find lots of people relating stories of having spoken to the deceased on the phone. They are kinda strange but worth reading.

    @Kitt gave you the recipe. You should try it. We usually add some sauerkraut, to get that nice sour flavour. i'm told that once upon a time whole cabbages were submerged in sauerkraut barrels and later used to make cabbage rolls. No boiling required. Boiling is not required if you freeze the whole cabbage and then defrost it. This is making me cravey and hungry!
