Simple Questions Prompt 480
Mikiesboy commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Simple Questions Prompt 480
Thanks, Gary. I've written several longer stories, but I'm not a grand saga type of author. Prompts are interesting and force you to write in a different way. I guess they are like the tasting menu rather than the eight-course dinner. Both can be delicious and fill you up. Thanks again, Gary, for reading. -
we have one but it's just annoying to use .. however, so far, the whiteboard is great.

Chase and The Phone Booth

Thanks, kbois. There have been a number of books and films/shows about phone booths, you're right. It was the Wind Phone that i found very touching. I'm glad people are happy to determine what's happening here. I wouldn't dream of telling them. Thanks for reading!- 18 comments

You deserve both a 😆 and a ❤️. That made me laugh. It's a good question. Why would you chase a moving phone booth... i'd run the other way! Hopefully, Chase will be able to find his way back to some happiness in his life. -

i think wandering the desert alone is not the best thing to be doing. Chase was lucky. Thanks for reading this, chris! -

Thank you, Wayne. Yeah, it could be any of those. You can find lots of people relating stories of having spoken to the deceased on the phone. They are kinda strange but worth reading.- 18 comments

Chase and the Phone Booth He knew he should never have decided to walk. Leaving the car with just a bottle of water was stupid. It was hot, and the sun was like an unfulfilled ghost, relentless in its haunting of him. He sweated but knew stripping in the desert was just plain moronic, so he trudged on, wondering if he should turn back. It was scrub desert, pretty in its way, but not when lost and without water. He'd said he'd rest an hour ago when he g

@Kitt gave you the recipe. You should try it. We usually add some sauerkraut, to get that nice sour flavour. i'm told that once upon a time whole cabbages were submerged in sauerkraut barrels and later used to make cabbage rolls. No boiling required. Boiling is not required if you freeze the whole cabbage and then defrost it. This is making me cravey and hungry!

That's good! We call it deconstructed cabbage rolls. So good! Michael started making those when craving his mom's cabbage rolls. i think we'll have to make that soon. It's really delicious. Thanks for the reminder!

k, i want to call Morgan Stanley tomorrow and complain. i called today looking for the cheque i spoke to them about on Dec 27th. The person i spoke to said, (after a five minute hold.. i sure she went to make a coffee, not look into my issue) oh that cheque was just mailed yesterday. It takes about 10 business days for us to prepare and send those cheques. FINE.. okay. Goodbye.. So, i sent an email to my financial advisor at the branch and told them to please watch out for the cheque. If there's any issues please call me. Imagine my fecking surprise when my F.A. called me at 4:55 TODAY telling me the cheque just arrived. Holy lie-to-my-face Batman. Wow. I hate that shit. I could have dealt with .. we mailed that on Jan 4th and it should be at the branch soon. Just wow. now.. my tacos turned out nice.. i made corn tortillas today.. we had them for dinner filled with pork, avocado, cheese and salsa. All stomachs are happy.

Not sure i have the strength for new strength. Though @Wayne Gray says doing squats will bring new something to my life. Right now, I am at the thinking-about-doing-squats stage of my squat-doing. I told him i may be able to do like 3 a day. Ever the optimist, he said, "Oh yeah, start with three and just add one a day." Not sure about that! I'm sure three a day is enough. lol

Awww. That would be cool to see though.

We have one, it's great and still great at 10 plus years old. It was a wedding present. Scary what come outta the carpet!

We tried the app for our store. First you have to find your phone, which i don't carry around all the time. Then i need to sign into the app, then i have to open that section of the app and try to add what i want to which is a pain to do, and i'll have likely forgotten what i want by the time i get through all of that. LOL Much easier to pick up a pencil and write it down. With the whiteboard right there in the kitchen, i think we'll have an easier time. Then we can just take a pic of it or add things to the paper list. And @mollyhousemouseis right meal planning. Since i'm asked daily at least twice by each person in the house: What's for dinner? i can write that on the board too. That's my whiteboard reasoning. Amazon says it will be here today. i'm rubbing my hands together with glee and because it's like -4F outside and it's cold in here too.
