  1. Yep, there was no doubt, I had the same reaction
  2. This is a great chapter. I have only one problem: why do I feel kind of a sad undertone in this happy chapter? Maybe I'm just projecting my own feelings. As always, the way you show not just tell is remarkable. How Penn want's everything to be perfect, not wanting to have tjeor first kiss in a seedy club, savouring every moment. I loved particulary this, the blah blah blah part: Nash will be OK, he's getting to the "Meh-Land" regarding Leland (I still detest the name, sorry).
  3. This is so not funny, why would you even say such a thing, now I'm so worried. Is there at least an HEA? I'm really down now. Maybe I shouldn't invest myself so much in fictional characters. But how, you make them so real
  4. Yeah, right...😜 Poor Nay, trying to convince himself it's innocent, we all do that, don't we, it's the jetlag... I'm just a bit concerned we will be disappointed regarding the expected fireworks or the timing of it. Nash waited with sex after he was married, well, he is still married, so we have to wait for the divorce, actually two of them, because I really don't see him cheating, and then they would have to be married in order to have sex... hmmm, this could take a while. But maybe Nay is more spontaneous than Nash. Let's hope so. And as always, thank you for the great chapter, I was there with them in Thailand
  5. Im glad that "the lady lawyer, who was kind of terrifying". She will fight Lee if he doesn't comply. I'm just not sure, Leeland will be prepared to let Nasah have his half. I just love the small things you describe to illustrate Nash's state of mind, the 40 $ bill, the inner fight he has at stroking Penns hair, stuff like that. It makes you characters more and more alive. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. And of course I googled Crater Lake, it's amazing, I 'm sure you had a great time. But now the next chateer, preety please
  6. The one sided friendship bugs me too. Maybe the problems Nash is dealing with at the time, just took centere stage, but then other times Penn reacts very hurt if Nash doesn't confide in him, without telling him about HIS marriage. I'm sure we will find out soon enough, what it is...
  7. Maybe she wouldn't, but he could snatch the razor and do it himself... I really hope not. I'm partial to men with long(ish) hair, sorry. Does he want a buzzcut tbecause he's going to some monastery in Thailand?
  8. Sorry, I'll change it
  9. Well, I had to google Reno 911 too, and I got more or less the same pictures, so, all good. Very manly indeed
  10. And Nash: “Give yourself a little more credit than that,” This says a lot. And thank you of course for the great chapter
  11. My wild guess would be, Penn's Nash-sexual. They really are perfect for each other. I had to google the super-trooper-shorts-uniform. It's very manly, not at all like a romper
  12. No, no, no, I'm just old, I guess and I'm not sure how young people show their friendship, maybe with naked ass(ets). I just love to think that some people have a more exciting life than me. Now you see what magic powers a single omission /lost sentence has, we are really excited about it
  13. You can't take that back! He's naked, basta! OK, you are the boss, you give them clothes, you write them, you decide the nekkid state. I just thought this was an illustration of how close they are as friends, kind of 🤭
  14. Loved the chapter, thank you so much for sharing your talent and this delightful characters with us. When chopping vegetables, cooking or biking around the neighbourhood, before I go to sleep and after I wake up I find myself wondering, what is my little brother Nash doing, what will his shark (I hope) of the lawyer say and I cross my fingers that Leeland cretaure isn't ruining Nash's credit or something else.
  15. You really are a great writer, You capture the feelings very accurately. You make people feel, which is one of the best gifts a writer can have. And thank you for your kind words
  16. I have to admit I have some difficulties reading the story. The writing is excellent, and your characters are really real, so to speak. It just hits too close to home. I see myself in Nash, being cheated on by my partner of 18 years and not telling anybody in real life. I was so ashamed, not many people understand this sort and form of shame, but you captured it really well. I hope this is not something you had to go through. And I really hope Nash will be stronger than me, I stayed and 13 years later I ask myself sometimes not only how he could cheat, but mainly why did I stay…
  17. Probably some work and Paul related crap, and some financial crap as a cherry on top...
  18. Well, Nash has enough love in him to go around, if that is where you are taking him, I guess.
  19. Because there are so many characters and you post once a week or something like that and because I read a lot, and I mean A LOT, I have to brush up the story in my mind, so I find little gems like that
  20. Just for the record, I really dislike Leland from the first chapter on, sorry... STuff like: "Every time I bought ice cream he ate it all before I had a chance to get my hands on it." The sex thing, the vacation thing, the marathon thing, I just don't know. And this: "He was busy being a lawyer. Or at least I thought so." is this some premonition? You give me so much angst... but the writing is great, so there is that
  21. Can't wait!
  22. I have the same pit in my stomach, those little red flags...

    Chapter 3

Great chapter! Your description of the couple is perfect. It makes you wonder what lies under that perfect formica. BTW, this is awkward, I feel like Sawyer is my twin brother… And thank you for longer chapters 🖖
