He's not really using Mary as a beard....if that were true, she wouldn't know she was being used. She knows and she's on board with it....Plus, like Billy said, she's one of the nicest girls in their class and it's a shame nobody asked her to prom...He's helping a girl who probably wanted to go to prom but wouldn't go unless she had a date because of self-consciousness and she's fully aware of the situation. It's an extremely nice gesture in my book...When I was in sixth grade, I was at a school dance and my friend (Angie) the girl with Down Syndrome was there and I asked her to dance a slow dance with me....it was the right thing to do because it made her happy. Yes, Billy may have altruistic reasons for asking Mary, but she's fully aware of the whole situation.

From the time I was three years old till I was about 12 one of my best friends in the world was a girl with Down Syndrome...we went to Early Childhood together (apparently I didn't talk...I started talking at a the normal age an infant starts, but then I stopped talking till I was about 3 I think....also, I had a slight stutter I think my mom now regrets sending to Speech Therapy in Early Childhood because now I don't shut up....) anyways I digress....what was I saying???? I'll just say good job and go back to my corner

That's being a little too obvious for my vindictive mind....It would be more like, So Mom, how do the others like MY pecan pie....or...Do you know where I could get a good deal on a new car I'm thinking about getting a new Mustang or Silverado...

I'm going to get into the history behind his parents reasoning for their treatment of Jason....all I'm saying is in their minds Jason made the CHOICES he made and now he has to live with them....

I think Jason didn't want to force his parents to have to choose between their grandkids or him...He would rather allow that relationship than tear the whole family apart by forcing the choice

Yeah...they're a little physical at times lol I'm not really sure he's ready to forgive his brother so much as he wants his brother just to help out with the freaking party (paying and planning)

I've privately thought in the past Billy had mild autism or Asperger's but he would then do something to prove me wrong...I agree that doctors were trying to diagnose any kid they could with some form of autism... my mom taught autistic kids for years so I've met some truly autistic children and Billy doesn't fit the "mold" just right... if I were Brett I'm not sure I would ever be able to forgive Billy... not that what he did is unforgivable I just know how to hold a grudge
