Oh girl, you drove through the most boring part of the state. Honestly, west of Fort Worth, there's nothing till you get to Midland/Odessa. I'll see if I can take some pictures around our farm here and post them. I'll admit, it's nowhere near as dense as the northeast, I'll try to show you our beauty ....and sorry if I came across being accusatory. I grew up about 90 miles east of Houston, right on the Texas/Louisiana border. Right in the Big Thicket.

Nathan's hiding something and is testing Robbie big time. First, the way he acted when they ran into Alex the first time. Second, for someone who claims to not have much experience, he seems to know what he likes and how to do it. Third, the fact he knew about the Palm Springs. Fourth, even though he insists he's no long attracted to Daniel and doesn't have a crush on him, he'll flirt with him every chance he gets. Fifth, the comment about the treesome. Last, the fact that over the summer, while they were hanging out and doing whatever, Nathan didn't act flamboyant or wear makeup or anything; and now, suddenly he's wearing bright nail polish, makeup, rainbow bracelets, and making comments about Robbie being embarrassed by him. I wish Robbie would wake up and see how much Alex has changed since his father and brother went away and how much he's trying to show Robbie how much he cares about him. Robbie's influence in his life has made him a better, nicer person. I think he genuinely cares for Robbie, he just never knew how to show it before because of how his brother and father treated him. Now that he's seeing how people who care for each other treat the other person by being around better people, he wants to change. I'm afraid of what losing Robbie's influence in his life might do to him. I know he wouldn't hurt himself or his brother, but he might decide the only way to support himself and his brother is the way his older brother supported them. I don't want that life for Alex. He's good for Robbie because Robbie's good for him.

I'm not sure if you ever said, but what area of Texas did he live in? The way you're describing it, sounds like down in The Valley or our in West Texas. Because, I'm going to have to disagree with the various shades of brown comment. From Dallas/Fort Worth area, down through East Texas, all the way down to the coast at the Texas/Louisiana border is nothing but wooded area. The seasonal changes in North Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth up to the Red River) experience similar temperatures and conditions as Montana. The average low temperature in the winter is 10-20 degree F and the average high in summer is mid 90's-100 degrees F-That's a pretty extreme difference throughout the year. Also the Hill Country area of Texas is lucious green.

really now...it couldn't be that Texas has no corporate taxes and the owner of those companies chose to move those jobs to Texas could it???? as far as Texas courts doing unconstitutional things all the time....I'm not even going to touch that comment

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! Nathan isn't perfect YAY!!!!!! TEAM ALEX FOREVER!!!!

So, tomorrow is officially moving day. The U-Haul is parked in the driveway waiting to be loaded. Everything in the house, with the exception of my room, is packed in boxes. For some reason, I can't bring myself to pack my room. We're moving from the Dallas area to a small East Texas town called Rusk. It's about 3 hours away. I know absolutely nobody down there, with the exception of my 2 cousins and their wives. They are all very umm, let me try to explain. My cousin Justin, the younger of the two, broke his femur years ago when he was bucked off the bull he was attempting to ride. His wife, Rachel, teaches Ag (agriculture) for high school. My other cousin, Clay and his wife Melissa, along with his two step-kids, his adopted son, and their son together, whose name is Rodey Owen (pronounced road-e, go ahead and say it out loud) are going to my new neighbors. They always make me feel like the odd man out. They'll talk to me if I insert myself into their conversations, but they won't go out of their way to speak to me. Now, I'm practically related to about half the town we're moving to, but they're all my mom's cousin's kids and I think I might have met them for all of 5 minutes 35 years ago. The closest Walmart to where I'll be living is 15 miles away, and it's not even a Walmart Supercenter. For the next 6 months or so, we'll be living with my grandmother in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house, while our house is being built. Right next door. For major shopping, we'll have to drive about 40 miles to Tyler, where there's a mall. This isn't going to be fun. It's going to be hell. I'm a 41 year-old gay man moving to an area of Texas that isn't well known for its acceptance. I did actually tell my cousins I was gay. But, that was 22 years ago and we've not talked about it since. I'm not even sure their wives know for sure or not. I"m freaking out here I think. HELP!!!!
