Well, hi , Gary! I thought you'd be too busy writing your own magic, to mess with mine! But it's always nice to get the good word from you. Thank you!

    Chapter 4

Those were dwarves that sang that song, not elves. Dwarves don't have a BIT of skwish in their whole bodies!

    Chapter 3

Sure. I did a July 4th tale every year for the first five years, and Valentine's Day stories twice. Valentine's day is just too close following Christmas, though, which is itself already too close to Halloween. So the Valentine's Day tale was the first to go. I enjoyed the July 4th stories, but soon found I was writing Charlie Boone stories six or seven months out of the year, leaving me not enough time for other things. One reason it took so long to complete Short, Short prince and Journey Beyond the Sea was because I had to stop writing on them every time a holiday presented itself. So, for now. I am just doing Halloween and Christmas in the Booniverse, which is still a bit of a strain.
  9. "Seattle wasn't really much of a town when I was born," Shannon told them, titling his head back as if looking back into time. "The hills had yet to be graded, and the place was often muddy, dirty, and loud. But the forests around the town seemed endless then, and the lumber business drove the economy. Lumber mills were everywhere along the waterfront. Located on Puget Sound like it was, the town was a perfect center for shipping. Railroads started to arrive, the shipping business grew with the

They do tend to operate in larger groups these days.

    Chapter 3

Some other worlds MIGHT have heard of the time rangers, or at least know them by their actions. They might NOT be known on Earth (even by elves) if their missions were all to some other place and/or time, their group was small, and they ceased operations before human tech was worth much of a squat.

    Chapter 3

Having the stories attached to favorite holidays adds fun to them, I think. It gives them a certain flavor that underlies the whole tale. Halloween should be a little dark, a little creepy, a little mysterious. Christmas should be cheery and affectionate, and make people smile and feel warm. Having characters that are easy to remember is a plus. I always try to make each one a bit unique so that they are more than just a name to readers. And so far, I haven't tried to do too many different holidays. Can you imagine what that would be like? How do you like this title for an Arbor Day story: What's That Old Tree Doing in the Living Room, Charlie Boone? Hmm. Nah. Let's just stick to Halloween and and Christmas!

    Chapter 3

Rip Shannon is a sort of a nod to a comic book I remember from my kid days, called Rip Hunter, Time Master. It was in my dad's collection.
  20. Kippy stared at the photo of the novel that Charlie's dad had showed him. Charlie had printed it out, so that it would be easier to show to others. "Now, that's just spooky," his boyfriend decided. "It's a mystery!" Browbeat exclaimed, hovering over Kip's shoulder. Everyone had a look at the photo, and everyone had the same reaction. Strange! "No feeling on this?" Charlie asked his boyfriend. When Kip just shrugged and shook his head, he turned to Adrian. "How about you?"

    Chapter 1

I have stopped trying to explain everything that the characters can do, for fear of tripping over myself! There are too many stories in Charlie's universe now for me to recall every little detail. Like YOU seem to be able do!

@weinerdog has a right to an opinion. Nicholaas doesn't hold grudges!
