Well, Peter figures that Justin is a man now and old enough to leave home, and that's fine with him. But he did act like he was in a hurry to get away before Scott changed his mind or something! Justin is going to be better off, I hope. I wonder how many times this scenario has repeated over time, with the mother knowing and understanding, and loving anyway, and the father suspecting, and happy to be done with the whole thing?
But at the same time, I feel Peter may have satisfied himself that he is leaving his son in good hands. Somewhere, deep down, there is some awareness that he is not leaving his son to the wolves, which earlier evidence suggests he would not wish to do.
So, maybe there is not going to be another blow up, and this will all work out?
