    Chapter 11

Ahh. Sigh. There are people born into this world to rescue others. And, there are people born into this world that need to be rescued. And, sometimes, when the two meet, something sweet and wonderful happens. Thanks for making it happen, @Mark Ponyboy Peters!

    Chapter 10

    Oh...next chapter! Quick!

    Chapter 9

Well, Peter figures that Justin is a man now and old enough to leave home, and that's fine with him. But he did act like he was in a hurry to get away before Scott changed his mind or something! Justin is going to be better off, I hope. I wonder how many times this scenario has repeated over time, with the mother knowing and understanding, and loving anyway, and the father suspecting, and happy to be done with the whole thing? But at the same time, I feel Peter may have satisfied himself that he is leaving his son in good hands. Somewhere, deep down, there is some awareness that he is not leaving his son to the wolves, which earlier evidence suggests he would not wish to do. So, maybe there is not going to be another blow up, and this will all work out?

    Chapter 8

Sometimes the best advice is as Scott said: "Wait and see."

    Chapter 7

Peter's father must have been a real piece of work, for his son to have turned out the way he did. Of, course, he could have learned it on his own, but... This isn't over just yet. But it would seem that the clouds are moving off and the sun coming out, and any new attempt to bring rain will not be tolerated well by our two main characters. 🌞

    Chapter 6

Yeah, things are clearer now, and not in an unexpected way. I have never understood the willingness of some to hate a complete stranger, based entirely on some notion they have formed in their own minds. Hate takes energy, and it takes a will to keep alive. What sort of person thrives on taking pleasure in the pure meanness of hating? Not someone I would want to know! At least things are looking better for Justin, for now.

    Chapter 5

Hmm. Yeah, Peter is part of the problem, but which part? And tossing away one half-used packet of Ecstasy isn't any more 'quitting' than tossing away a half-smoked cigarette. Once a problem reaches the stage where distractions like alcohol and drugs are needed to live with it, it's time for the alarms to sound. I just hope Scott is in time for the rescue this time. Good story, Mark. 🙂

    Chapter 4

Not sure what was actually revealed here, and what I am assuming. Sally's reaction may be closer to the mark than Scott thinks...yet. Let's hope Justin isn't into something hard like heroin. Too early to know. But that he needs Scott seems pretty clear.

Seems safe enough to leave a laugh reaction to THAT!

    Chapter 3

It's not making me happy to be two months behind everyone else on this story! Scott seems to have been snared by the problem of what is going on with Justin. Not unexpected in any way, since they already share a bond of life. I think it's too early for me to speculate, though. Some good idea have been batted back and forth here already by the other readers. So, I'll move on to the next chapter and see what happens! 🙂

    Cool!

    Chapter 2

Well. It would be infinitely sad to think that someone whose life you saved then found it to be so miserable in some way as to try to end it later by their own hand. I'm interested to see where you go with this. I like Sally already. And, I trust the author here, not to let the darkness take over the story!

    Chapter 1

I grew up in the woods with a dammed-up creek that formed a swimming pool. There was a small waterfall, but you could only sit under it, not stand, but when you did sit, you couldn't be seen by anyone walking by. Not that anyone ever did! Nice that so many people share a similar 'wet' memory. As usual, I am late to the party. I'll read on as quickly as I can. An excellent beginning to the tale!
  14. Another nice look at the formative years from an author that explores them well, and how they can go one way or the other, or sometimes, in between! A story about learning, and accommodating, and falling in love - and knowing when to guard the seat of your pants!

    King Dick III

Another nice look at being young and learning to deal with it. Um, and being spanked!

Thank you, sir. Love IS sweet, mostly!

    Chapter 1

It's on reason the holiday deadlines have proven so hard to deal with for the Charlie Boone stories.

    Chapter 1

Yes. This one had no wands, no spells, no hexes. The best sort of magic comes from the heart.

    Thank you! Where is yours???

    Chapter 1

Love needs every chance it can get. In this instance, Kieron had some able and affectionate advisors who were pulling for both lads. If only the real world could mirror such things...

    Chapter 1

I love the way you speak English! Um...it IS English, isn't it? Thank you!

    Chapter 1

Thank you. I wish all love stories could have happy endings!

    Chapter 1

No. It doesn't always work out so well, even for a prince. That was why I wanted this one to be satisfying, you know? Thanks!
