    Chapter 27

I was sitting on pins and needles as the expression goes, after reading the previous chapter. I couldn't wait to read this chapter. The sadness and regret of Ellen's loss of life, the successful birth of twins and the quickening of Mickey and Drew's plans for a nursery read as if it was deja-vu. Each paragraph repeated what I had feared was going to take place and the balance of the sweetness of the boys becoming fathers. Not to joke, but there is an old saying that the first one can arrive at any time afterwards it takes nine months. A little convoluted to the situation but just an expression of the oddity of life.
  2. As opposed to some of the other commentors I am among those who are glad you changed the ending. I wasn't happy with it the first time but also having written some stories I had to feel that you as the author most certainly had the right to end the story as you wished. I agree most of us as readers prefer to see happy endings for the stories we follow. Personally when children are involved I have difficulty when they end badly. I didn't originally wish to comment but with the rewrite I felt I needed too, so, kudo's to you for a great story. Some difficult situations were encountered but in the end (with the alternate ending) all is well and the reader can come away with a warm feeling after investing their time in following the story to have experienced something good and uplifting. I guess we prefer this type of ending when we see and hear so much of reality in the opposite direction since that is what the news agencies want to emphasize.

    Chapter 27

Did I miss what happened to Carly and Noah Jr.? or is that part of the cliffhanger?

    Enlightenment

In the beginning the story closely paralleled the Hallmark movie put out within the last year or so. Instead of ending there we are taken much further into the future with the happenings of the new couple and the family developed. The extension of the original story made for great reading. Keep up the great work. I must also agree "Personal Shopper" was likewise a really good story.

    YD Chapter 3

I must agree with the other comments. Having read all the stories previously posted by you (Quokka), I know you usually go into more depth. I realize this may have been a quick endeavor but I agree there are many questions remaining as to what happens now. With the moneys the poorer three received will it improve their lives and what will his Grandmother's reaction be when he returns? Please start a sequel to reveal more of their story.
  6. Another great chapter. Always looking forward to the next one and they are never too soon. Love to keep up with CJ and the gang.
