Yup... it definitely looks more fancy. I'm drowning in bells and whistles. It'll be awhile before I get a hand on all of them. On the flip side, I've at least got the logo back. I'll test with it for awhile. It is much easier to edit colors on this new version than it was on the old... so once I settle on a standard format for the logo, you can expect color choices that include: blue, green, red, gold, and purple.

Very cool

One reason I always write fantasies or Sci-Fi. It is probably wise to put a disclamior on top reminding people that in the real world, it is wise to use protection. But then, as a young teen, it is often difficult (or embarassing) to come by condoms and proper lube. It is something that people need to be aware of, but putting in the story, especially if it sounds preachy, could really ruin the story.

Thanks for the Link Nav... the trouble with working all day (and even OT today) is that I can't follow everything any more. I rely on you guys to help me out. Now... "'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince'" that has some interesting connotations. Especially when you take in that she says that is it NOT Harry or Voldy. What do you FanFic writers think?

Wow DK... I had much the same experience when reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I read the whole book in one day in pretty much one sitting. I did have to get up several times because I threw the book in anger. Probably another reason I've been lax in writing HP stuff lately. HP 5 was good... but not good enough. I've read Mercede's Lackey's "Magic's Pawn" a dozen times now. There is certain scene where I cry every time. I just can't help the overpowering emotions I feel when I read it. There is another book of her's, Joust, that has the same affect on me. I've read that scene a dozen times. When I read, I want to feel for the character and be dragged into the story. I try to invoke that when I'm writing, and I always love authors that can pull that off.

I read this before I went to work this morning and put some thought into it. I'll be honest here. One of the main reasons I started writing Harry Potter fanfictions is because of the huge established fan base. I could practice my skills at writing while building a fanbase of my own. It worked more than I ever thought possible. I'm now in the position where I'm writing a story that is more popular than I ever thought it could be, and in order to do justice to it, I have to give it my all every chapter. And people clock watching will notice that it has been a year since I've posted a chapter. Of course, real life has kept me busy, and I've been busy building this site. I still haven't gotten to the point where I feel it is safe to stop for a little while and let the site take care of itself. Now that the userbase here is getting more active, I might have more time to write again. (I think I strayed ) Now that I have a fanbase built, I know I can release a story (especially to Fan Fiction) that will have a lot people reading it. I'd imagine it's much the same as you Comsie, only you're on a larger scale. Myr
