What is a "normal human"...? We all have quirks.
-
Good night, tim.
-
Hello, molly. I'm watching, as well (with one eye closed)... Cheers

@BHopper2 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a muffin pan; place an egg in each opening (or however many you want to make) Bake for 30 minutes Place eggs in an ice-water bath for 10 minutes. Voila.

Touché, droughtquake.

Lol, I never said I aspire to be a first-class chef. Not everyone possesses the joy of cooking.
-
You and tim, both, and I applaud you for it. I'm sure you've noticed very little food in my writing. Predominantly whiskey, beer and cigarettes. Tells you something about my love of cooking.

Like @BHopper2, cooking and I have never gotten along well. Over the years, I've mastered some recipes, but for the most part, I wing it or don't bother cooking at all. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't properly hard-boil an egg. Getting the timing right was impossible, the yolks were always over or under cooked, so I stopped trying. Recently, while on a job, I overheard a homeowner telling someone her trick of baking eggs to hard-boil them. I mentally took down the recipe, tried it at home, and received the PERFECT hard-boiled eggs. I made egg salad and relished it for 2 days. It only took me 30+ years to figure that shit out.

My Gay Community
MacGreg commented on Jason Rimbaud's blog entry in Wry Wrambling of a Rebellious Rimbaud
You've written a thought-provoking piece. I remember seeing the original post you're referring to. I didn't comment on it then, because others, like @MichaelS36, already voiced my opposition to the message (whether intended by the author, or not) that a gay person has some sort of an obligation to be a part of the larger gay community to prove their solidarity. I, too, am a Dom, live a D/s lifestyle, which makes me a minority in the gay community, and I get a surprisingly larger amount of flack from gay people about my lifestyle than I do from the hetero community (this is even more true for my boy, who gets flack all the time, from everyone). Although I do attend some themed nights at a local club, I'm really not into hanging with the gay community as a whole. I like hanging with people who I connect with on multiple levels, for multiple reasons, whatever their gender identity or sexual preference. As you said, "I have seen a lot of ‘gay communities’ that do not share my same values and goals." Sexual preference does not guarantee instant friendship, in my book. However, I'm open to it. If there's a connection, great. If there's not, no harm done. We don't all have to be bonded as gay brethren. I work in the building industry, and the majority of my colleagues and acquaintances are trade workers. Many know I'm gay, a select few know I'm a Dom, and most are cool with it, but I don't tout it, and I don't feel the need to announce my proclivities to the world. I like hanging out with people with whom I can shoot the shit, talk about anything, and not have gay/BDSM the center of my existence. My circle of close friends is very small, they're the ones who know me well, and that's enough for me. That being said, Gay Authors is a community with a diverse group of members, and for the most part I get along with everyone (a few more than others) and enjoy "hanging" out here. So, there's that. Thanks for the great blog post. -
Take care of what you need to.

I'm good at imagining.

Good day, subs and DiCsters. It's warm and sunny, and according to molly, I have nothing left on my To Do list to attend to today, so I'm a free man with a large cup of coffee and a good attitude. I'm going to see what Ben and Travis are up to. Hope everyone is well.

Damn, that is shitty news, A. News that no one wants to hear. I'm very sorry. Condolences to you and your family.
-
Sorry, A.

Good morning, molly.

Good morning, boy.

It's unfortunate that something so harmless is unsuitable for discussion here.

And yay for pizza!

It's game 1 of series 2 of hockey playoffs, Avalanche vs Sharks tonight. So another Friday night home. But first I'm taking sean to an art opening. His friend is coming over to the house again tonight.

Could the last half of this day drag on any longer?
-
Be proud, boy.

See you later, Mike.
-
I'm smiling over here, too.

Excellent!

Hope the end of your week is a positive one.
