    Summer Night

This is a strong piece. An ode to the tranquility and beauty of nature with a tinge of melancholy over the fleeting-ness of it, mirrored within ourselves.
  4. It feels appropriate for many. I was compelled to share the message.
  5. I need to go quiet this boy. Have a nice evening, everyone.
  6. Time to go untie some knots. I'll see you all later on. Be good, here and elsewhere.

  9. I'm good, thank you. How are you?
  10. That's nice to liven up their day with a little visitor. A woman I know visits senior living facilities with therapy pigs.

    Flux

As others have said, you keep it real, tim. These characters are not contrived; they feel, speak and act like regular people. And that - more so than the plot - is what draws us in to this story. Don and Louis do not possess super powers, but we perceive them as having heroic qualities. They are both very likable, relatable characters. As for Max, well, that downward spiral was bound to happen, and it is bound to happen again and again for a long time. Don and Louis can't anticipate what might trigger him - it could be as small as Max catching a scent that reminds him of his Mom's perfume - but they can be there to show him love and support when he crumbles. Another excellent chapter, thank you.

    Boyfriend

A simple word - boyfriend, boy, man - yet it holds immense meaning for you. You illustrate it well in this short, yet powerful, poem.
  13. This is very sad news. Jamie, thank you for coming here to let us know. I did not know him well, but I know that he touched many people here. My condolences to you and your/his family.
  14. I'm safe. Going to stay where I am for now.
  15. So this is happening near me today.
  16. Right. Coffee in me, time for work. See you all later.
  17. Mmm, warm boys in warm beds. Makes a man never want to go to work. Wonderful poem, Mike. You capture the intimacy of this moment with passion and a touch of sweet. Keep writing - I want to keep reading!
  18. Wonderful poem! I don't understand why I don't get notifications when new blogs post... Good morning, subs n DiCsters.
  19. Mmm, enjoy the meal, boy.
  20. I concur that there are plenty of abusers out there in the BDSM realm who call themselves Doms, but they are not worthy of the title. They are abusers. They get their kicks from degrading, humiliating and physically assaulting subs. Similar to what you noted in your post, Thorn, some subs are very new, very vulnerable, or very fucked up, and they don't know that they should be respected and cared for, not abused. Some subs get into a head space where they recognize it as abuse but have convinced themselves that it's necessary for their correction, that they are somehow deserving of the toxic treatment. Abusers prey on those subs. I haven't revealed this to many, but I'm dealing with this situation right now with sean. he got caught up in a web of deceit and degradation with an abuser who feigned Dominant authority over him, and it's had a detrimental effect that we're still working through.
  21. Hmm, no, we don't talk about 50 Shades of Asinine around here...
  22. No hugs, just my hand. Have a good day, tim.
