I'd root for Jamie too if I didn't think Matty would regret it afterwards. I'm getting Connor vibes right now.- 38 comments

Tonight’s Not About Bubbles
Shadow086 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Tonight’s Not About Bubbles
Our king is playing with fire, but will he get burned? And what about Matty? I feel like he's being drawn into a difficult situation. It's all fun and games now, but I worry about this new guy deciding to take things farther than Matty is comfortable with. Well, if he gets the chance, and it looks like Rusty's going to make sure that doesn't happen. I hope nobody gets hurt (except maybe that Jamie loser), but if the goal was to make Rusty jealous, I think Matty has succeeded in that. Hmmm, I wonder how Slicky Coolplums will respond to the outrageous nonsense being said about him...- 38 comments

It’s All Nothing But A… Fairytail
Shadow086 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in It’s All Nothing But A… Fairytail
Maybe Rusty's not looking for clues there, but it sure seems like the clues come looking for him. Although I guess the clues so far could still point to Matty and Slicky Coolplums seeing each other behind Rusty's back. If we didn't know what's going on in Rusty's head, I'd be thinking Rusty already knows Matty is the cat boy and he's just playing dumb to have some fun and see how far Matty will take this whole Slicky Coolplums thing. 😄 -

My take on it is that he's convinced himself that Matty can't be the cat boy, so the thought never crossed his mind. Maybe Matty will have a little Slicky moment at the party, who knows?- 49 comments

It’s All Nothing But A… Fairytail
Shadow086 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in It’s All Nothing But A… Fairytail
What a tough situation. I get where Matty is coming from wanting to keep his identity a secret, but really, the smart thing to do is to tell Rusty as soon as possible about him being Slicky Coolplums. Yes, there's a risk that Rusty will feel betrayed and lose interest in both personalities, but in my opinion, the longer Matty keeps up this charade, the more likely he is to get this outcome. Sure, Rusty would be upset that Matty didn't tell him anything about playing around as Slicky Coolplums, but now that he's also trusting Slicky with some of his secrets and feelings, the stakes are much higher. If I was Rusty in this situation, I'd feel like I was being used. There's also the fact that Matty is slowly starting to slip up, his accidental slipping into his Slicky Coolplums persona in his sleep is proof of that. Rusty might like to act like it sometimes, but he's not stupid. He has enough pieces of the puzzle, and I think the only thing keeping him from putting those pieces together is his first impression of Matty. He's got himself so convinced there's no way Matty could be a cat boy, despite the mounting evidence staring him in the face, that he'll feel foolish for not seeing it sooner. Those two are made for each other, and it's unfortunate that it's going to be a long and drama filled road for them to get there. It's easy for me to say as a spectator, but their attempts to not hurt each other is what's going to make them hurt each other in the end. It's a good thing they both have friends to give them the support (and the little push) they'll need to set things right and hopefully enjoy a solid, kinky relationship.- 49 comments

While it may be ideal for Rusty, I don't know how Matty would feel if the man he loves keeps asking him to essentially pretend to be somebody else because Slicky excites him more. I think Matty will need to make this clear and set some boundaries so they can both enjoy it and it can become a fun and kinky part of their relationship. Or maybe they can compare notes and create a Slicky 2.0 that they both enjoy more. And because it's Matty, I imagine Rusty will, at some point, be getting a lecture on the finer details of being a catboy. -

I’ve Been Friendzoned And I’m Okay With It
Shadow086 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in I’ve Been Friendzoned And I’m Okay With It
My main worry is that Rusty won't be able to balance the two when he finds out. With his change in attitude at the end of the chapter, Matty would be slightly justified in fearing that Rusty would only care about Slicky and not want to get closer to the man inside the suit. Rusty will need to make sure he doesn't ask for too much Slicky Time. But I think he'll come around to Matty having a kinky side and not having to choose between him and Slicky. He'll probably complain about the voice, though, and tell him to make Slicky sound sexier.- 58 comments

What if Matty doesn't reveal his identity? I mean, he just put Slicky in the middle of XPress's radar, and that can lead to a bunch of stalkers trying to figure out who Slicky is. I think the reveal will come from somewhere else, and Rusty will be upset that he had to find out from XPress instead of Matty telling him himself. That and having to deal with Maddox and Jonathan's biggest 'I told you so'.- 58 comments

Well, at this point, I'm just waiting for the plot twist that Patrick is behind the graffiti and he was a bad guy all along! Joking aside, I bet it's that one guy from a while back whose name I forgot and isn't important enough to go look up (Wayne or something like that?). Things are looking up for our happy couple. Now they have Ethan's friends on their side, nobody seems to care except for a few assholes, and the graffiti situation is kind of resolved for now. He should just leave it there, ignoring it will really get under that person's skin. I imagine Drew is in for a surprise when Billy and Joey drag him to their table and start teasing him and Ethan.
-
That was outright said a while back, if I recall. There was something about Cyrus wanting a second Alpha to make his pack stronger. Or maybe I'm crazy and remembering it wrong. 😅
-
Oh, how I wish Casey hadn't shown up. I'm suddenly much less optimistic Wesley's chances of ever seeing him again... I'm guessing Kyla and the others are about to find out just how much trouble Wes got himself into. I hope they all make it but... Great chapter, Com, you messed with my expectations. I really thought they'd at least make it to the cabin.
-
I dunno, survival instinct might override that. I'm a pessimist too, and I don't think this will end well. First off, his father really sounds like those "Shut up, I'm the one in charge here!" blowhards in movies that always make every situation worse, so he's not going to listen. And second, Wesley has NO solid argument to convince him that they should leave now instead of staying put and letting the police handle it (and he won't believe the truth).
-
Another great chapter. Looks like our duo made it to relative safety, but I see trouble ahead. From what we've seen of Wesley's father, he's going to refuse to listen and try to ground him or do something that will put them in even more danger. Maybe Wes can convince them to leave, but not before they waste enough time to let Cyrus show up on their doorstep.

Sighhh....come on, Marvel....

I think it's because they have an 'Us vs Them' mentality on everything, and they see these shows as a personal attack on them. I've seen a few of these rants, and I really get a "they're coming to take away all the things you love" vibe from it. So if you like the show, you're also their perceived enemy in the 'culture war'. Like, relax, it's just a movie... -
So...my uncle passed away today. :(

LOL, I love this guy. You should check out his "The Wholesome Family" video.

Another great one! There's a part of me that thinks Ethan did the right thing with the way he handled that senior. Sure, it could come back and bite him later, but at the same time, he showed that he's willing to stand up for himself, and that should be enough to get some of the less committed bullies to leave him alone. It's not as fun when they fight back, after all. As for his friends, only time will tell, but I'm hoping they're just angry with him because of the way he treated them last time and/or that they had to find out from the rumour mill rather than from him directly. I have my doubts about the other two, but Jermaine at least seemed accepting of the idea. But if they can't accept Ethan for who he is, it's their loss. Ethan and Drew have Patrick, and I'm sure they'll make some new friends who are more accepting.
-
That was symbolism, if I recall, because earlier on his friend said there was a fox behind him and he didn't believe him. So tragic.

I have a bad feeling about this. Going back to Rainbow's End has 'terrible idea' written all over it, but it's not like I have a better one, so who am I to judge? Cyrus isn't stupid, and this is probably one of the first places he'll for Wesley in, so he could be putting who knows how many other kids in danger by going there. And even if he manages to keep a low profile, then what? There's a great risk that Wesley will be spotted by someone, word will get back to his family, and his jerk of a father will make him a sitting duck. It's too dangerous, but I don't know what else they can really do. I also hope Wesley learns to keep his urges in check fast, because his father's attitude is going to make living with them a disaster waiting to happen. Something's been bugging me though. In theory, isn't there a point where Wesley and Isaac could get far enough away that they'd be out of Cyrus's territory and he couldn't keep pursuing them without starting fights with other packs? I can't wait to see what happens next, but this is going almost too well.

Chapter 36 - The Walls Between Us All
Shadow086 commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 36 - The Walls Between Us All
I really don't see the "Tristan is Scotty's own Jason Fixx" angle, to be honest. Tristan is trying to be nice and be a friend, it's not his fault if Scotty has been leading himself on by seeing what he wants to see in Tristan's actions. Tristan isn't like Jason Fixx at all, he just...picked a really dumb way to turn Scotty down. I feel like he's just running from the situation and hoping it will go away on its own, which is clearly not working so far. It's probably too late now, but Tristan needed to send Scotty very clear signals that he only sees Scotty as a friend, nothing more. He probably missed the mark on that. He could have handled the plan to have Scotty and Artie meet a lot better though. I should've been so easy to just arrange a "chance meeting" at the mall or something and see how they get on. Of course, it's easy to say all this with hindsight. I feel bad for Artie too, he's clearly interested in Scotty, but it looks like Scotty is still too focused on Tristan to give him a chance. That being said, a Scotty and Artie spin off is the story I didn't know I needed in my life. Even so, despite me being in the Jesse+Tristan camp, I do appreciate that @Comicality isn't pushing the other love interests in the background. One thing I don't really like when reading stories in this genre is when good characters get written out of the story because the main character didn't 'choose' them. -
Chapter 36 - The Walls Between Us All
Shadow086 commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 36 - The Walls Between Us All
Well, I mean, I don't think he's doing it intentionally, but I've always felt like this whole set up was a big mistake, and Scotty will read into it and see what he wants to see, and Tristan being nice isn't helping (I'm getting the sense that Scotty saw this whole invitation as a sign of Tristan's undying love for him). That's how I'd say he's leading Scotty on even if he doesn't mean to. But, teenagers in love don't always make the best decisions. 😄 I think you got it right, and I'm putting this down to Tristan misreading the situation and how Scotty might react.
