Elias lay silently next to Artemis, his mind working through the day’s events. It was late night time, but he wasn’t tired, not any more than he usually was. Artemis’ house was a mess, and slowly Elias realized he needed to clean it. It made sense; why else would Artemis steal him away from his planet and drag him through the universe? A nagging voice in the back of his head insisted Elias had it wrong, but he ignored it. Carefully climbing out of the small bed, the neko crept out of t

They remained apart through much of the next two weeks. Artemis landed on a station briefly, buying himself a new tablet, but within two hours of landing they were off again, neither wanting to remain near other beings. Artemis pushed the ship to its limits, growing ever more weary of space. He needed a break, and that wouldn’t be found from a single night on a station. He was still worried about Elias. The neko refused to eat, and he only drank water when Artemis pressured him to. The soon

Jacob lay back in his Cube, the lid closing over him. He listened to his own quiet breaths as the machine started up, lulling him to sleep with a mild sedative. The man opened his eyes in a large library, filled with a vast amount of stories. Running his hand over a shelf, he inhaled deeply. It was such a nice smell, the scent of new books. Unfortunately, he couldn’t crack one open today. He had another task. Heading into Spirits of Mithzara, Jacob stepped into his avatar, instantly tele

The neko’s arms relaxed as the bike slowed in front of the bookstore. Jordan took a deep breath he hadn’t been able to take since Damian first wrapped his arms around the werewolf. Damian climbed off the bike, allowing Jordan to follow. They entered the shop, finding Halor sweeping the floor while Blanche reorganized a shelf of books. Jordan immediately rushed toward the woman, kneeling beside her. “I can finish this,” he said. “Thanks,” Blanche smiled, pushing off his shoulder t

Kyle stood up from his Cube, stretching. He wanted to get another hour in Mithzara, but his parents didn’t like him sleeping in too late. It didn’t matter. By his calculations, he had made almost fifty copper last night. What that meant was uncertain, but he hoped it was good. He didn’t have any classes that day, but there were a few things he had to do. A loud meow outside his room reminded of one of them. “Alright Cas,” he grumbled, pulling on a pair of boxers. A shirt followed, lo

Kyle Stevens went to bed early the day he got Spirits of Mithzara. He was already a week late getting started in the game and didn’t want to wait any longer to try out what was being called the best fantasy simulator ever created. Nestled in the cushioned bedding of his Cube, the nineteen-year-old college student shut the transparent lid over himself and closed his eyes. Winding down enough for the transition into his sleep was always difficult, and with a game to dream in now, Kyle found it

Jacob Ashford is in a happy relationship. He can't imagine his life without his girlfriend Laura in it. But when he meets a kitsune in the game within his dreams, he discovers love can be rather messy. Kyle Stevens is often described as a loner. He's friendly enough, but he has always preferred the company of a good book to that of another person. An encounter with an elf changes everything he thought he knew about himself. Can the elf be for real? Or is it just advanced software tricking his mind?

When the state of the Alliance is threatened, the Alliance deals with traitors harshly. They cannot afford to seem weak. It will take time for both of them to heal. Artemis just looked down the barrel of a gun. There will be some scars for both of them, but hopefully they can get the help they both need.

Artemis sat beside Elias, his mind still in shock. Reinard was dead, his body already being prepared for burial. They wouldn’t be there the burial. Ceirel had banished them from the Artego house, and Artemis couldn’t say he blamed the Faro. The tiger had caused the death of both his kites. The Alliance had been quick to step in and sentence Neistar to death after it was discovered he had been part of the plot to rekindle the war. He wasn’t the only plotter. General Aro was revealed to be the

All's well that ends well... for the moment. Thank you so much for the amazing story. I can't wait to see what comes next. Regardless, I'm going to miss the Team as we wait for the sequel.

I love the last of the Mohicans soundtrack. I'm trying to learn to play Promontory but I doubt I'll ever be able to play it as well as Lane does. I'm no half angel.

Elias stared at the glass held in the circular metal. He was suspicious of the object the Faro held out to him. Both Scholar Sein and Reinard promised him the glasses would help him read, but he couldn’t help the unease that ran through him. “Just try them.” Iason’s voice startled the neko. He had almost forgotten the Egaro was there, tailing them wherever they went. He didn’t like looking at the tiger; it made him miss Artemis even more, and Elias found himself hoping Artemis would re

I enjoy listening to the music. I have a new favourite song thanks to you.

Relax. It was much easier said than done. Artemis took deep breaths as a dozen cameras and microphones were pointed at him. He hadn’t seen technology this outdated since finding Elias. Atharo stood beside him, speaking calmly and clearly. “Recently, this Egaro transported water to your fine planet. He was set upon by pirates hoping to deny you all water and start another war between your people and the Faro. When their first plan failed, and Artemis finished his task, he was poiso

A Day in the Life of a Wolf
Yeoldebard commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in A Day in the Life of a Wolf
Call it wolf intuition Eric ran off, and will hopefully stay away. -
The bike pulled up to the apartment, its engine purring. Jordan shut the bike off, Damian letting out a sigh that warmed his shoulder. The neko remained on his back for a few seconds, his breath heavy. Jordan could feel his erection pressing into the werewolf’s back and it fed his own arousal. But the outdoors was not a place for that. “You okay back there?” he asked. “Uh, yeah,” Damian replied, pulling away from the wolf. He climbed off the bike, giving Jordan the space to follo

“Excuse me,” Geiro said sharply as they entered the shuttle. Artemis turned his head toward the Faro. “What do you think you are doing?” “What?” They were safe here. Probably the safest they would be for the next week. The tiger didn’t see what Geiro was upset about. “You just kissed a Faro’s Bonded! Right in front of him!” “Oh that. Reinard’s okay with that,” Artemis said. “Tcha! Do you know anything about our customs, our way of life?!” “I know something

Jordan groaned as he rolled over. His back hurt and as he regained his senses, he realised he was laying on the floor. Why was he on the floor? Oh right, Damian… The werewolf turned his head, finding the neko seated cross-legged on his bed, staring at the wall. “Afternoon,” Jordan yawned. “Good afternoon,” Damian replied quietly. The neko stood up, drawing his hood over his head. “I’m going to head out now. Thank you for the bed,” he said, crossing to the front door.

Not everyone can be a master of strategy. Unfortunately this seems to be one of those times when the limits of the author are pushed on the characters.

Thank you.

Elias stood in Artemis’ arms, watching the white Egaro fix a chip into Reinard’s necklace. Reinard was unhappy with the situation; he should be the one holding Elias, keeping him safe. But Artemis was good enough, he supposed. At a certain level, the Faro knew this was all his hormones urging him to protect what was his. But Elias wasn’t his. Elias belonged to Elias, and while Reinard wanted to protect the neko, he couldn’t take away Elias’ freedom in doing so. “When we are planet-side

Definitely a neat trick to have. If only we could escape to a literal quiet place whenever we were upset.

Thankfully it wasn't poison, but something much better.

Artemis purred as he nestled into the crook of Iason’s arm. “That was amazing,” he murmured, looking up at the white tiger. “Mmm, I’ve missed this,” Iason agreed. “I’m guessing your companions have not been sating your urges.” His fingers trailed under Artemis’ tail, and the smaller tiger squirmed away. “Elias tried once, but I think I scared him away. And Reinard… Well, I assume you know about Faro.” “What you need is a good strong tigress to see to your needs,” Iason s

Jordan stopped in front of his apartment, turning to Damian. “Do you need to get anything?” he asked, motioning toward the alley. Damian shook his head. “All I own is on me right now,” the neko said. “The laundry from this morning… I was helping someone with that. He offered to buy me lunch after.” Jordan chewed on his lip nervously. Damian had it rough, but he really didn’t know how to help him, aside from offering him a place to stay out of the cold. Unlocking the door, the
