Adan is a mage in training. After accomplishing a feat less than a hundred mages have ever completed, he has earned the admiration of his master. But he has also gained attention from the king of Meras himself. Now Adan must navigate the intricacies of a royal court with his familiar at his side. Will he be able to survive the court? Or will the mage be left to hang in a world every bit as deadly as a battlefield? Only time will tell.

“The light of Selune bless you in these times.” It took two days to reach Nashkel, and we were harried the entire way by goblins. All who neared us were slain by our fierce protectors, though we realized no matter how fierce, Jaheira and Khalid were not invulnerable. We pushed on still, despite our fresh injuries, Jaheira providing what comfort she could through her spells. It gave you pause, wondering what your life would have been like if you had been granted the power to heal as she

"Who can judge the value of a life? Not even the gods may know such a value of a mere mortal." It took even longer to escape the canyons than it took to get in. Khalid led us out, but you were not used to the climbing necessary, and several times Jaheira had to help you up. We rested again just out of the canyons, Jaheira seeing to Khalid’s wounds. The rest of our journey was completed hastily, everyone eager to get back to Beregost. It was decided we would wait a while before setting o

Jordan pulled off his helmet in front of the bookstore. One thing was for sure, there would be no more walking to work. He knew Damian realized the same thing. The neko scowled under his hood, Jordan barely seeing the look. “I’m not sure if we can get the bake sale done on a bike. In fact, I highly doubt it,” the neko said, setting the pink helmet next to Jordan’s. Jordan took the cat in his arms, kissing Damian gently. “There’s a way to get it done,” he said. “Maybe Lysander can

Damian stepped into the bedroom, his head still wet from the shower. The neko crossed the room quickly, standing next to Jordan, who was laying on the bed. “Are you okay?” the cat asked, searching the werewolf for injuries. “I heard something break.” “I’m fine physically,” Jordan reassured Damian, sitting up. “But… I kissed Lysander. I didn’t mean to-” Damian let out a quiet sigh, sitting next to the werewolf. “Well, he is your other mate, so it is going to happen.” “Are

Damian chatted excitedly with Lysander as they carried bags into the kitchen. Jordan was amazed at how open he was with the elf. Apparently once he decided he liked someone, Damian was all over them. “Do you need any help in the kitchen?” Jordan asked. “No. You stay out of the kitchen,” Damian warned. “I heard you and Arisa talking about your fiasco with the fish.” “It’s okay Aerael,” Sander smiled at Jordan. “Te Kalael and I will make dinner. Why don’t you go work on your bedroom?”

It's more the idea of a non wolf in the complex. Other wolves would not know Damian is claimed.

The three stared at each other in an awkward silence. Jordan couldn’t believe this. Their roommate was also his mate? What about Damian? He couldn’t leave the neko. Just then, the neko cleared his throat quietly. “Uh, hello. I’m Damian,” he said quietly. “I’m Jordan’s… mate, I guess…” “Lysander,” the elf said, blinking rapidly. “But most people call me Sander. I’m sorry, I just… Wow… Um, why don’t you come in?” “Did something happen?” Damian asked. “Yeah,” Jordan said, p

Thank you for pointing this out. It definitely suggests some form of magic was used, perhaps a glyph of sorts that burned away? Hopefully the people investigating the fire can find out more.

Welcome to the world of Astara. I hope you enjoy your time here

Just a bit...

The bike rumbled comfortingly as Jordan pulled up to the wolf complex. He was nervous about this meeting, nervous about what it could mean for him and Damian. Scanning the area carefully, the werewolf spotted the same man who had shown up to the bookstore the day before. He shut off his bike with a sigh, Damian climbing off. Together, the wolf and the cat approached the man. Jordan placed his arm around Damian possessively, and the other wolf smiled at the gesture. “Hello Jordan,”

Jordan curled up against Damian in front of a fireplace, the flames crackling merrily as the neko stroked his head. “Who’s a good boy?” Damian whispered in the werewolf’s ear, and Jordan grinned. An earsplitting shriek filled the air and Jordan darted up in his bed, clapping his hands over his ears. Flames flickered silently along the walls of the apartment, the fire alarm wailing for anyone near to get out. Standing, Jordan pulled his hands away from his head, wincing in pain at

Regarding Coirus, perhaps you are reaching, perhaps not. If there is one thing I have learned as a GM in Dungeons and Dragons, it's to take ideas from all places

Jordan’s heart nearly stopped as the words left Halor’s lips. How had he known? Jordan had been so careful to hide his disease from everyone. “Jordan-” Blanche started. “Miss Reyla, I just want you to know that if you are going to fire Jordan, I won’t be working here anymore,” Damian said suddenly, his ears flattening. Blanche shook her head. “Jordan, can you open tomorrow?” “Um… sure,” Jordan said. “I’m getting too old for this drama,” Blanche sighed, heading into the ba

It's bad publicity for the store though.

They walked to work the next day, Damian not wanting to risk the biscuits on the motorcycle. Jordan was sure they would be dried out by now, but Damian assured him that as long as they kept the small towel over the pastries they would be fine. The neko was more concerned about the secondhand shirt they had bought with the extra two coppers left after buying the material for the biscuits. “I feel like it was too expensive…” “Look, if Miss Reyla gets upset at the clothing, I’ll take

They used Arisa’s car, the elf joking about having to get dog and cat hair off the seats. Jordan put up with the jokes, having heard them all from her before. Damian didn’t seem sure of how to handle the elf. “So, do we want neko food or Eastern Elven?” Arisa asked. Jordan spotted a look in Damian’s eyes as Arisa mentioned neko food. He himself hadn’t had neko in over a year, since the incident with that bastard who had cursed him with his disease. “Neko sounds good to me,” he sai

Zachary Stevens sat in a Portsmouth pub, sipping at a cranberry vodka mix. It was the perfect drink, bitter and sharp, just like his life. He was gone. He quit. And Zachary kept telling himself he understood, but he really didn’t. Of course a wolf wouldn’t want to be with a dragon. They were both predators, it would never work, having two aggressors in a relationship, two tops. It just sucked that in nearly fifty years of life, Zachary was still a virgin. The pub door opened and a dr

Two dragons suffering in love meet each other one day. This is the story of their trials together, with no guarantee that life will be easy.

“Knowledge may be power, but too much power is death.” The next day we discussed how to face a necromancer while we walked. It took nearly four hours to reach High Hedge, following the road west out of town. You still hadn’t told me your reasons for studying transmutation, but I had my suspicions. We kept quiet about the subject around our companions, but there were other things to fill our minds. Like the razzleberry bush we ran into. I insisted you collect extra for us to munch on.

Yeah, I misjudged the size of the burning hands spell. The Colour Spray is a very strong alternative, and it works much better with Aerin's personality.

“When you play with life, you learn quickly, life is no game.” It took the entire day to get you healed. We returned to our rooms after, and you slept soundly. In the morning, Jaheira told us her hopes for the day, to find the house infested with spiders and clear them out. You instantly began reading up on your fire spells, despite my warnings that fire might not be the best weapon for fighting in a house. Jaheira read out the location of the house, next to the Jovial Juggler inn.
