Entering the one spare bedroom, I saw Claudia lying on the bed while wearing my shirt and jogging pants that were three sizes too big for her, but it was better than wearing clothes that were stained with blood and were a remainder of the ordeal back at the mental institution. I wished I would’ve dusted the room before allowing my sister to rest here, but she told me that she didn’t mind at all and was just thankful to finally relax. Thank you! And to be honest, I'm not completely captivated by the horror genre either, but I am intrigued by the creatures of mythologies from around the world like the ones in Filipino mythology that appear at night to prey on the living, and I want to incorporate that into this story. I'm glad my attempt has worked and has enthralled you. 😄

I know, the story turned from a mystery behind prom night at a small town in West Virginia to a demon-infested mental institution. It seems that Claudia is the key to finding the answers to both events. Also, I'll try to post the next chapter as soon as I can since I don't want to leave you or anyone else hanging for long. Thank you for the comment! If you want another dose of horror, you should look up the mangkukulam, mananaggal, and mambabarang of Filipino mythology since those creatures inspired the ones seen in this chapter. 😨

“God damnit! Where’s my shirt?” I watched Cash as he looked around frantically for his shirt in the kitchen. I was still completely confused by what was happening. Thank you for the helpful input! Yeah, I know there was a lot of information to digest; I didn't want to withhold important information any longer, so that's why I include so much in this chapter, which I could've done more smoothly. Same problem happened in a chapter of my other story, Hero Wanted, so I'll remember that when I write future chapters. 😀

I was worried that I was going to have to watch Trevor for the entire day, which I didn’t mind if it wasn’t for the all the questions I was having about the wand that was in my hand and the one in Ben’s possession. I never witnessed anything like what I saw back in the autopsy room, and I wondered if the wand was possessed by a spirit or something scarier and dangerous. I never believed in ghosts, spirits, or boogeymen who live under the bed or in the closet. Even as a child, I was skeptical
