Yeah, Damien's family is going to need protection like what the king's knights are doing for Alexandra. However, with the whole conversation Damien had with Anthony about becoming the kids' godfather, I'm sure they'll have enough protection, especially if he uses his lycan form if the worst-case scenario happens. And it's true that Will's allegiance is more focused on his king since they have a history that spans more than century, but hopefully Will, excuse the pun, has a will of his own, and can make a crucial decision based on his own conscience when need be.

Hopefully, Austin finds someone else to take to the homecoming dance which shouldn't have been hard since he's the star quarterback of the team as mentioned in the first chapter, but maybe the unnamed male cheerleader was the only person he wanted to take. And it does seem that both Will and Alexandra are both omitting key information from Damien, and though it's possible that they are doing so for his protection, he's an adult and is more than capable of doing that himself.

It appears that Will's supposed jealousy is just a minor distraction, but a distraction that needs to be address to get to the bigger question which, yes, is Damien's family potentially in danger? I'm sure Alexandra has no ill intentions by getting to know her family, and I'm confident that Will is very concerned for his family's safety. This situation is very complicated and puts Damien at a very awkward position. Who should he trust? Alexandra who is his wife's twin sister who wants to be part of Damien's family, or the man who has revitalized his notions about love for the better? We'll see if there's a clear answer or if there's more information yet to be revealed.

Jealousy is a very complicated emotion and hopefully Damien and Will can resolve this issue since a much more urgent problem has been brought up by Will. It's quite possible these lycans, whoever is paying them, will find where Damien lives and come after his family next and use drastic means to do so.

Yes, Damien's swordsmanship is very impressive, especially since he didn't get a scratch on him. And maybe what Alexandra said was true; maybe Annabella is watching from wherever she is as Damien's guardian angel. Not too farfetched to believe considering what is revealed to be true so far in this world. I mean, vampires turning invisible? Yeah, there are guardian angels out there for sure.

That's true, though Anthony seems to be the exception. Also, gathering as much information as possible beforehand is wise, but Damien has to be quick since he only has one hour before a decision is made for him, and it involves Will getting burnt to a crisp. Hopefully, he'll be able to outsmart these kidnappers and if they are lycans, he might use that to his advantage.

We'll see why Austin wanted Anthony to drive him to the diner soon. Also, since the king is Will's creator, he is considered Will's family within vampiric society. They are literally tied by blood, so Damien might think he is just a king, but to Will the king is his family and that might complicate things as the story continued. Thank you! I'm happy that you appreciate the regular updates to the story and that the cliffhangers aren't a major turnoff. Alexandra is carrying a heavy burden with her knowledge about the Holy Grail, and she is overall very observant like her skepticism over the king's motives and her concern over Will's undying devotion to him. Some say knowledge is power, but it's also often said that curiosity killed the cat. Hopefully no one except the kidnapper or kidnappers get harmed as Damien tries to find a solution to this dire situation. Alexandra could possibly help Damien rather than just being traded away to save Will, and maybe Anthony can help as well. Damien is going to have to trust somebody if he wants to save his lover since this isn't really a one-man job, and who better else to trust than family.

Well, considering the girls were very young when their mother died with only pictures and possibly home videos to remind them of who she looked like, they were able to quickly adjust to the situation of meeting their mother's twin sister. Also, Austin might be too distracted by the game to fully comprehend Alexandra's likeness to his mother. Hopefully, they'll get to know each other more and if Alexandra gets him accepted by the university through her connections, then that'll be the best way for him to know she cares about him like a mother would. Lastly, I think it would be best if Damien doesn't just go into the hostage situation ready to fight with his sword. He needs more information first, and maybe Alexandra can help.

I clapped and cheered when Austin’s team scored another touchdown, giving them plenty of advantage over their rival team, and it was only the second quarter. And the possibility that they don't even know that their mother has a sister is going to factor in to the shock of seeing her during the football game. Hopefully, they'll adjust quickly and welcome her into the family. Also king's expectations could be very high because Will has been a very loyal thane, accomplishing mission to such a perfect degree that His Majesty doesn't expect anything less from him as a result. I mean, Will is the one responsible for changing the course of American history for the better, so it makes sense that the king expects Will to not screw up in any fashion. However, he is still just one vampire, a person who can make mistakes like anyone else and hopefully he doesn't beat himself too much over a simple error.

Yes, she was just saved from being burned to a crisp, which I can only imagine as being more than unpleasant. Hopefully, Alexandra will warm-up a little to Damien because of this.
