The majority of banks in England are closing their branches, according to them more and more people are banking online so they don’t need the branches, I am so glad that I left banking when I did and I don’t miss the dopey customers, they would usually complain about the queue to see a cashier the only reason there was a queue was because everyone arrived just before we closed the branch for the day, Saturday morning was the worst day for this. I had closed the branch for the day, one guy was insisting that he had to pay his mortgage and wanted to be let in as I let out the last of the few remaining customers, I said that I couldn’t let him in as we were closed and the cashiers had just closed off, but he still insisted that I let him in, I said no and I showed him the alarm panic button that I had in my hand and I told that if I push this button the police will arrive with their guns drawn and if he didn’t want that to happen then he should come back tomorrow, he finally got the message that I wasn’t letting him in, talk about dense 😔
