Yeap, this is pretty much a classic example of a case in which the main characters are the only ones unaware of their true feelings (or the expanse at which they stretch). Jonathan is starting to realize by now that getting hot and heavy with Maddox cannot be just a fling, but as reserved as he is, he keeps all those observations very well hidden, even from himself. Thanks for thinking that my story is all that! I surely want it to strike people as being as goofy, wacky, and angsty, as it can be!

Yes, you're right about Maddox and his knowing more about sex than Jonathan, given his experience, albeit only with the fairer sex. But, in a way, that may put him at an advantage, because he knows how to be tender and take things slowly. Jonathan doesn't yet know what goes through Maddox's naughty mind in regards to switching the roles, but you can bet his mind will totally get blown off by the possibility. In his mind, he has already thought of it, in one way or another. As for Connor, actually Jonathan doesn't think of him at all these days. He's just throwing the name in as a defensive mechanism, and that's all. Rusty, ah, well, there's a whole story behind that character... but I'll let him evolve and perform on his own! Be prepared for many surprises on his part! Here's hoping to having the next chapter blow up everyone's expectations!

Ha-ha, all that rambling is actually defining for both of them. Trusting blindly is not an option. Getting to know the other... well, that's at least more doable. Being serious? At 20? Maybe it's a good start. But at least some of that frustration will be blasted out of the water as their bodies connect. Just saying. Feelings will still run amok, and that's a fact. Yes, call me evil. I like wearing that cape.

They are both planning a great deal, indeed. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans... So, only the test of reality will give them the real measure for their feelings, and whether they decide to start being honest to themselves depends solely on them. But they're young, so expect some more fumbling around. If feelings were easy to handle, we might all be a lot more happier - just my humble opinion.

The road will not be without ups and downs, and I'll be upfront about it. At the end of it all, however, I hope that they'll get out of it stronger and wiser.

Maddox must know by instinct what works, and so far, his gut hasn't failed him. I had to lol at the 'hard' comment, of course! Jonathan is willing to play along with the physical game, but it is Maddox who wants more, so he has to figure out how to obtain that. He also learns how Jonathan is, and he's not at all bothered to discover him through and through

First of all, thank you for the long comment. It pleases me greatly to learn what the readers are thinking. Now, on to the matters raised, Jonathan is not as much clueless as he is in the kind of situation where he doesn't dare to hope that it's true. At first glance, Maddox just wants to fool around. He was basically a straight Casanova until yesterday, and from the logical POV, Jonathan's worries are founded. Only that he should use his logic less Yes, college life cannot be only about the juicy parts. And yes, there will be curve balls, and the guys might be at least a bit surprised by them.
