Thank you! I'll never put words in readers' mouths so to speak, since I'm always interested in how people of all kinds react and perceive my stories, and how they are written. But when someone gets so close to what I've been meaning to convey, it makes me really happy. Maddox was, indeed, a bit too infatuated, and a bit too air-headed to think things through before taking this to his parents.
As for the parents' reaction, it's my belief that we, as children, never get to really know our parents, despite being so close to them. Of course, I might be wrong, but as good friends as you can be with your parents, they will always be your parents, feeling entitled to think that they know what's best for you. Just a take, anyone can disagree with me.
