Good point, @Kitt The topic will be brought up at one point, and Jonathan will have some things to prove... such as growing a spine!

And this scenario goes to prove that my readers actually have even more of a wicked and active imagination than I do! I will so have a laugh when you read the next chapters... and at one point, you might want to go back to this particular comment and wonder how come... All right, I'll stop here!

Ha-ha, the darker kitty is Maddox, for sure... And I was laughing upon reading your guesses... but I'm going to keep my mouth shut for the sake of everyone! I'm never giving spoilers!

    Almost a haiku!

Ha-ha, I liked that no need for the fat lady to sing since Rusty is doing it anyway, comment. Well, I can promise you that it will be worth the wait (I hope!) And I'm happy to hear that your Fridays are just more entertaining because of my story.

There's not going to be a lot of dwelling on Jonathan's being away, but more important things will happen upon his return. You'll all maybe hate me a little (I'm kidding myself now, probably a lot), but a new chain of events will start to unfold. This is all I'm going to say, nothing else.

Well, you're not wrong, but to reply to the first part of your comment, Maddox has a temperament on him, and it's the first time he felt true deep hurt. He and Jonathan have not known each other long, and trust can be built. As much as we love imagining that when we fall in love, we should also be able to trust that other person completely, that's rarely the case (because of various hang-ups, personality traits, and even just the whole novelty thing). As for the second part, Xpress is very close to that, but let's not take it too seriously (just yet). But yes, Jonathan's dad could totally turn Sunny Hill upside down and destroy the rag and those behind it - it's in his power. I'm not saying he will, just that you are right in your statement.

I'm starting to get a feeling that I overplayed something here... people are already anticipating something bad happening to Jonathan. Well, it's the kind of situation where I can't deny or confirm, but to ease everyone's minds, no, Jonathan won't get hurt physically.

Ah, well, that's Rusty for you! A totally derpy dog, but lovable nonetheless! And that Sheldon gif... oh, yeah, I remember that one!

Your comment is very much on point. However, what Jonathan will do next has a lot to do with what circumstances are created around him. The fact that he is now true in his heart - and that message he left, not in a bottle, but a book, was not a whim - will not change. However, I do promise more drama, as well as some moments which I believe them to be sweet and tender, funny, and of course, some of them quite infuriating, according to the emotions I seem capable of eliciting in readers.

Thank you for all the praise, Gary! Jonathan will be back soon, actually, and what happens after... well, I hope it will surprise everyone.

Chapter Thirty-Seven - Clean Up Your Act, Rusty Parker! Hey, hey, Sunny Hill, are you ready for another episode of the biggest drama on campus? Just put your textbooks down for a moment, because we have news for you! No, it’s not starting to rain men on the streets of our beloved campus, but it sure does rain hurt feelings and whatnot. Did any of you ever think you would see Jonathan Hamilton’s cool facade break? The perfect gentleman act appears to have been long forgotten... Oh, Jon
  13. Laura S. Fox
Rusty would totally get in a turkey-eating contest!
  14. Laura S. Fox
You can rest assured that drama will happen! It's just how I make my stories work... what's that ingredient I must add now? Oh, it's drama!
  15. Laura S. Fox
Indeed, that is so true. Jonathan doesn't really hate Drew. He's past that.
  16. Laura S. Fox
Just keeping the fire going! And yes, I thought a conversation would be better, although what happened in the past will be presented in other ways, as well!

You only need to trust them, and I'll take them there. But, as I said on different occasions, the scenic route is best route!

And now you truly breached into the realm of erotic poetry! And that bottle neck, brother Nick, pun, that's the work of a master!

In certain circles, I'm known as evil!
  21. Laura S. Fox
You already know what happened, but I must still reply... There's only this much avoidance Jonathan can practice!
  22. Laura S. Fox
    That's a great compliment, actually!
  23. Laura S. Fox
    He-he, no...
  24. Laura S. Fox
Well, I don't know the answer to that one... But boy, I enjoy when readers are enjoying themselves! And about them needing an interpreter... then all would be clear, and where will the fun be? Amirite?
  25. Laura S. Fox
'normal abnormal happy self' must be the best way to describe Rusty! And I'm happy that you like Hannah! I really wanted a good gf for Ray! He totally deserves having a great relationship! And a bestie, of course!
