    No Big Deal

Nice pun, lol! There will be many other weeks of April, fortunately or I wouldn't have what to write about!

    No Big Deal

April will have a hard time figuring out what Jett is and isn't, lol! As for the crypto thing, April would just be the kind to believe in such a thing. I, for one, don't get it although I had people explaining it to me at length, lol! Yes, yes, the adventures will continue, but April will be a blond!

    No Big Deal

Hmm, lemme count ... yeap, we're good!!! :))
  4. Chapter Three – No Big Deal “Blonds? Like in blond guys? You told me you’re not gay!” April exclaimed and then pressed one hand over his mouth, stealing a nervous look in the baby’s direction. Jett smirked. “I think it would be a good color for you.” April began munching on one fingernail while he looked again at the hair dye in his hand. “Blond? Why this particular hue, though?” The color on the package was enough to give April the chills. He couldn’t swear, hand on heart, that

    Daddy Issues

Ah, damn this online communication stuff. Not for one second I felt insulted, don't worry! Well, if I ever manage to write the story, I think it will be published here. Thank you for your appreciation!

    Daddy Issues

One's mother married the other's father Don't worry, it's not you, it's me, lol, what a cliche thing to say. The story was an experiment I tried after I read The Art Of Fiction by John Gardner. One of the exercises suggested in the book was to write about something without naming it directly. If I remember correctly, the example provided was 'write about an old man whose only son died in the war, sitting inside a barn, but don't mention the son, and don't mention the war'. That was why I tried to suggest the relationship between the two sons (one biological, one not) and the defunct father. Obviously, if people didn't get it, I must not have done too good a job. Ah, and I don't know how clear that was, but the scene in the story takes place after they buried the father. I have a plot in its most incipient forms and even a few pages written for this to become a full-fledged novel. But if I ever get around to write it, I cannot say.
  7. Glad to hear that! Hold on tight!
  8. I'm sorry guys, but I'm afraid Jett will go to a different direction since he has a distant memory to compare April to!
  9. Thank you for trusting in me to embark this crazy train!
  10. Not that I wouldn't see Jett messing with April like that, but there will be a 'big' reason for him not to. Not saying more, it could be spoilers! As for the long hair ... you'll just see!
  11. Mystery is my middle name, lol! Thank you for being on board, Dave!
  12. It took me a while to realize what you wanted to say with that, but finally my brain caught up with me, and For Some Reason, I Prefer Blonds To Being The Father Of This Child, yeah, I totally get it now, lol! It does appear that I rattled everyone's cage with the man bun, bigger lol! I like men with long hair, but well, my teenage and young years were all about rock, and all the cute boys had long hair. Now the man bun is a big thing in my neighborhood with all the teenage boys and young men wearing this style (we call them The Water Tribe). But of course, it's all a matter of taste, and I found it just so funny that so many people are against it! As for Jay and how he came only with the clothes - just an onesie, really - on his back, there will be explanations some times later. It all falls on the boys' shoulders and they need to shape up! It wouldn't be a real challenge after all!
  13. Writing this from tablet, so sorry about typos and stuff! OMG, I laughed so hard, especially when reading about Jay's artistic career! Hey, genius knows no such thing as age! Now, since you mentioned the name August, I must say that I actually tried that, but gave up since August Summer seemed a little bit too on the nose for the character's 'bright' personality, lol! Jett ... Oh, Jett! Do you think he's protective now? Just wait and see ... Also, he might get scary, like really scary, when his protective instincts kick in. As for his choice of a line of work, hey, a guy gotta do what he gotta do! It serves to keep in shape and all that. Plus, he's a hit with the girls, not that he'll need that too much now, he he. April doesn't really know he's a hacker, but let's not get into spoilers, lol! As always with me, the story will be a collecrion of big misunderstandings! But what's one more when Jett isn't sure whether April is Theo and the other way around? Thanks for the laugh! Awesome comment!
  14. Hi godmom! The mystery surrounding Jett's and April's past will not be uncovered quickly, but it's true that Jett is curious about the resemblance he sees. The whole hair dye thing is about that, and it's one of the little things that matter. Jay's mom will make an appearance at the right moment, and I hope people will like her! But she's just a glint in my eye at this moment - and also a bunch of notes spread around a document I call 'highlights'. I'm glad you like Jay! He might like to torture April since April is doting on him, but he's just a well intended little tyrant! Thank you for your comment, and lots of hugs!
  15. He does! But well, it really is buried under layers of mean, lol! I'm glad you're on board, Wes!
  16. Thank you, Mike, I can only hope you'll continue to enjoy!
  17. Thank you! I wish I could, but then I'd run out of chapter pretty fast!
  18. Get ready with some gifs with dogs, lol! Not saying anything more! Thank you for making me smile, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far! And that definitely could be Jett, he's that strong, but loving, too!
  19. Chapter Two – For Some Reason, I Like Blonds Jett would wreck his brain later about where the heck he’d seen April Summer before today because, right now, there were more pressing matters to deal with. Like making a list with all the girlfriends he had about … “Hey,” he called for April who was struggling with the baby’s car seat and trying to follow him inside the house. “How old is this kid?” “Seriously?” April threw him a look that told Jett, in a nutshell, what the dweeb thoug

    Chapter 12

Corrected. I do have mistakes here and there, and you might notice them from time to time. Thanks!
  21. The poor guy, he looks so sad ... There might be secret powers hidden in Jett's hair ... let me think, no, actually no, there aren't! And also, le wild gifs have returned!
  22. And just when I thought Jett had a fan, lol! Yeah, you're right, he's a big bully. If you re-read the first phrase of the summary, that pretty much says it all about his troublesome personality, lol! Now, let's see how long can he hold to his man bun, while people around here prepare torches and sharpen their razors, lol! As for the hidden stuff, there's always that with me, without a doubt!
  23. Ah, ah, ah, are you trying to say that what's on Jett's head might be p ... No, I won't go there. But I saw a Gintama episode (it's a Japanese anime that's completely random and insane), where the main characters were trying to give the shogun a new haircut, and ended up placing a huge giant poop on his head! Sorry, it's just the image that came to my head! No go away - not you, the image! That said, aha, you're on to something ... not saying what ... and you'll just have to expect for the plot to unfold - while thickening ... I know it's not going to work, but hey, I have to try it! Why? I don't know! But really, thanks for the comment! As always, you make me laugh!
  24. Thank you! I'm glad to see you here again!
  25. I haven't though of him that way, as Carter came to me as a mix of people I knew who were very smart and very funny but in their very own particular ways. But you're not the first person to ask this question, so I believe it to be warranted. However, I can't say it either way, since I never knew if the people I'm talking about were in the spectrum - I hope that's the phrase used - and they weren't diagnosed (since we didn't even know the term 'autistic' at the time). Of course, Carter is an original character, regardless of the inspiration, and for some reason, walking in his shoes came natural to me. The connections and various mental verbalizations (ugh, really, Grammarly, verbalization doesn't exist?) Carter has the habit of letting his mind wander to are also something I do daily, most of the times as exercises for the brain, and also because I find them funny. Thank you for liking my story! I hope you will enjoy the others, too
