  1. Now it's the moment when I have to ask you to have even more faith in me. Happy endings are sort of a guarantee with me, but in a way, the fact that you can't imagine how things will work out means that I will manage to surprise you. Thank you for your comment!
  2. Thank you for your excitement and anticipation! It's funny how in this gif, that elderly gentleman in the back seems to be dancing and having fun, lol!
  3. Chapter Twenty-Nine – Don’t Say You’ve Never Done Anything For Me Heathcliff felt like an automaton as he moved through the house. First things first, he needed to sort out what the hell was going on with those so-called healthy drinks Aidan’s company was selling. If there was something bad in them, that was bad for him, too. At least, that was a topic he could think about, as Aidan’s sudden decision to break up was still too much for him to process at the moment. A long time ago, he had

    Chapter 23

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
  5. Ah, thank you Timmy for considering the full range of emotions! After all, I have this story listed as a comedy - I think! - so it's my fault if I'm getting anyone too serious about it all! But, if there's one laughing emoji there, I'm content with myself. Aidan and Heath need to 'get over it' both at this point. As for what's been really happening, it will all be revealed next time!
  6. I can't really remember! But I did see it!
  7. OMG, I remember that one, it was so damned hilarious! And why would you say that's just another chapter from yours truly? He-he (imagine hands on hips and not so rightful indignation on my part at this point). I'm only joking! But of course, people would feel that way about where I'm taking the story right now, lol!
  8. Their minds are all mangled up now, and that's why they react emotionally, without any care for logic. But they will work it out, I promise!
  9. Well, this is so much better than tomatoes! Thank you!
  10. Thank you for being considerate about tomatoes and not wasteful! Just curious, who are the two idiots taking over your garden?
  11. I suppose they should be enlisted to a special course, indeed. There is, indeed, something in the product, something not that easy to prove, as you will see. As for what Heath will do, he will think of something, you'll see! Thank you for commenting!
  12. And birds of a feather flock together - is that how that saying goes? Yeah, I guess they are, lol!
  13. You should see my legwork! Ha-ha, not really, I wouldn't dream of boxing, lol! I leave it all to Snake!
  14. I guess there's no better way to put it, Dave!
  15. Ha-ha, I'm glad to see you alive and kicking! Even if you may want to do some of the kicking at me! As for your plea, let's say that it doesn't fall on deaf ears. Still, expect the torture to continue for a little while. Hugs!
  16. You're not far off the mark I did some research and the hidden ingredient is something close to what you're suspecting (I'm talking about sugar, not caffeine). I know a bit about what requirements are, although not in detail, and I also know how much manufacturers try to hide what their products contain. Sugar is, indeed, one of the top suspects, because it's so easy to prolong shelf life, and also make everything taste better. Take peas, for instance. Where I live, canned peas that have sugar and not just salt, taste, indeed, better (in the sense that they're sweeter), but they shouldn't taste that good. After all, veggies and legumes have their own taste, and even if a tad bland, it shouldn't be modified like this.
  17. And I thought I could just sneak under the radar and blame Aidan of it all! Do your best, lol! I dodge well!
  18. I'm glad none of the caps are directed at me! Man-child is a good name for Aidan, yes. But Heath will work on his end, don't worry. Just wait and see! And seriously, thank you for not throwing anything at me!
  19. Chapter Twenty-Eight – Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones “What is it, son?” Heathcliff drew one deep breath. Aidan was upset, and he needed someone with real-life experience to help him deal with this. Rushing after Aidan felt like a bad idea, and he needed to have someone look at the situation and tell him where he had gone wrong. “I got into a fight with Aidan.” He waited for a moment. “I’m listening,” his father replied. “Good.” Heathcliff let out an audible exha
  20. You are right about Aidan, but he needs a little more time to grow. Of course he should have seen it all, about his boss and all that, and he will have the chance to experience it soon. How he will grow out of his naivete or if, I guess that remains to be seen As for Aidan's mom, more about her and with her, later. Thanks for commenting, Timmy!

    Chapter 23

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Well, you have at least one long-form story finished to read!

    Chapter 22

Thank you! For all the comments you left for this story!
  23. Hmm, you're getting warm ... You'll see! As for Penguin Pants, I didn't give him much thought, since he's basically just a throw-away character!
  24. I guess this reaction sums it all up!
  25. Hmm, that's a good idea, right? (About Heath's company, I mean) As for Aidan, I totally agree with you that he needs a bit of time to see things clearly. But will he? Now that is the question Thank you for all your support along the way!
