We Are Not Party People!
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in We Are Not Party People!
Well, I was in the 'nerdy' class in high school, so to speak, and we had plenty of parties. Computers and playing over LAN weren't involved, though, but seeing how I live across the world from the US where nerd culture is an actual thing, I can't really use myself and my classmates as a measuring stick. As for socially inept ... I don't know. People into geek things just have a different way of entertaining themselves. -

Ha-ha-ha, I hope not! And don't forget Zane has his hands full with Dan! (you were talking about Jett, right?) -
Chapter Seventeen – We Are Not Party People! “So, what are your plans for the weekend? There’s a paaarty at that guy’s, Williamson, house!” Raj was yelling into his ear, putting way too much emphasis on the ‘a’ letter in ‘party’ which meant one of two things. That either Raj had a date, or second, he didn’t, and wanted to convince April to go, too, so that he wasn’t alone. April sighed and moved his phone from one ear to another. “I can’t, man. I have a baby to take care of.” “Ah, y

That's quite correct. Only April can decide when it's time to let go of his fears and it will take courage to do that. I hope you manage to solve your situation, though! (Without giving any advice, since I'm not qualified to do so)
-
Thank you very much, Jeffrey! I'm glad to see people enjoying the ride! I am really a fan of writing dialogue more than anything else, so it's great to hear that others enjoy reading it, too!

He needs to ... but will he? I mentioned this before, but that will be a twist that will be delivered when the situation is at its highest peak (or the crisis at its best). April needs more confirmations than these. As for how Jett will feel ... that's something that remains to be seen

Yes, thank you! When writing a story from the point of view of multiple characters, it often happens that it becomes not so clear about what each of them truly knows or feels, as anyone can be influenced by what's happening in all the characters' heads. I could not have put it better myself, knowing, even if I'm the author, that indeed, the two characters have managed to hurt each other, even if unknowingly - in April's case - and due to internal fears and other things of which I won't speak just yet, in Jett's case. But, from bird's view, things stay mostly as you summarized here. April remembers kissing Jett and being rejected, for reasons he doesn't know. He has a right to be cautious, even if Jett appears to be as remote as he can be from his 13-year old self, emotionally wise (or maybe not so much). So thank you for noticing all these details that are easy to get lost as things evolved and everyone learns more and sees more from Jett's perspective.

As I said to @Danners you guys might not like April very much as the story follows. He has his own issues, and I hope all will come full circle and make sense at the right moment
-
And now I have a feeling that you will all start disliking April a little. Of course, I am the one who knows everything, including about what happened when they were 13, and in my head, all makes perfect sense. That is why I will ask you to keep up with my story a while longer - quite a while - until all will be revealed, and hopefully, will make sense for you, too. You're right to worry about Jett, though! As I can sort of imagine my characters being like a yin yang dynamic, you are free to say who is what in this case. Obviously, Jett is the 'hotter' one and I'm not talking about the physical appearance. As for how and why April left a scar on Jett's soul, that was hardly his fault - or at least not entirely - due to his young age and inability to truly see into another person's soul and behavior. Damn, I'm giving away too much already! Stop provoking me! (No, don't, just kidding!)
-
Hmm, there's still much of the story left to tell. And, before Jett and April get to that point, there's still a weekend - in story time - to cover and that's when things will get a little messy (not adding anything more). Also, even after that bridge is crossed, as you may well know me by now, the story will be far from over.

Well, I did have to search for a link to a pic for a while, as all pointed at youtube videos.

Okay ... I'll keep that in mind, lol! (I think - not sure - that you need to use the 'Insert image from URL' box that's under the comment when you start writing it) Like this, if that's what you had in mind, he-he ...
-
We'll see about that ... I'm not giving any spoilers ... just please don't hate me ...
-
You're on to something here Not saying more!

Ah, thank you so much!

I guess we'll have to see ... But you're not wrong, Wes

Chapter Sixteen – Let’s Play “I wasn’t prying!” April didn’t want to sound defensive but, right now, he wanted nothing else but for the damned body pillow to disappear. Jett took the body pillow and went straight at the window with it. April stared in undisguised shock as Jett threw it out and calmly shut the window. Wow, that was a bit extreme. Jett really hated Theo’s guts that he couldn’t stand the sight of him, even in the shape of a benign object that carried some resemblance.

I can only be glad! And that sounds like a good ending for the chapter! -
I think you should message @droughtquake about it, as he might not see your comment here.

I must second that! Plus, he doesn't look that comfortable there, by himself, lol!

I guess that was mostly on many people's minds once the words 'changing a diaper' came up!

Domestic Negotiations

With me, HEAs are guaranteed, just to put everyone's worries at rest Of course, how the characters get there is the story I'm writing which explains the convoluted path I'm taking everyone along. Thank you for enjoying it, Jeffrey! -

Lol, I was imagining Jett doing that with the body pillow! Thank you for being such a careful - and caring - reader! And when gifs fail you, I can live with pictures, too! (Especially since there are some pretty racy body pillows featuring almost naked - and very sexy - cartoon guys out there in the world). As for the Z brothers, they will continue to play a role, even if Jett might not like that idea at all! -

It would be a much shorter story - probably better! - if my characters were a bit smarter than they are! I'm glad you're sticking with them, though!
