From the very start, I wanted this to be a funny story, so the fact that you tell me I made you laugh is the greatest reward. As for the Aaron Carter thing ... so funny that it hadn't crossed my mind until some readers pointed it out, lol! Thank you for not finding my English awkward or anything! I know I have still plenty to learn, but it's so good to be appreciated! Thank you again for reading and commenting!

Hey Lisa, thanks a lot for all the praise! I'm glad that I could keep up with all your expectations And now I'll go to reply to your comment on Box Shaped Heart, as well!

Phew, I did it. I read the whole chapter, and it was intense and it was sad and, while I cannot say, hand on heart, it's enough for Loz, at the same time, I can say that it was admirable that you pulled it through. When the perpetrator is someone this young, I can't say that the legal system would be able to reform him. It could make him worse, though, and that means that the whole point is lost. So this is better

I agree that the 1 and 2-star reviews cannot really have a place here. Also, I tend to believe that since new authors go through a process of being supervised through their first chapters and do not have their works published immediately, any really subpar creation would be caught before getting in front of an audience. I believe that the audience here, on GA, is very nice, and that is why reviews that are less than 4 stars are really rare. After all, I agree with what many people have already said here if you don't have anything nice to say, it's better to say nothing at all. It's still a good idea to have a review system in place, even with the rating system, despite not being exploited completely. It's still some sort of guidance. If I look at a story, I see it has positive reviews and ratings, what I think is: this piece has clearly touched some people so deeply that they cared to leave a review. That's a great sign. Also, I can look and see what they say they liked about it. And I can figure out if it would work for me or not.

I don't exactly have a suggestion for guidelines, but I am thinking about how to get more people to leave reviews. Even very popular stories here have a handful of reviews and not more. Why is this happening? It is quite clear that there are many people commenting, so what's preventing the same people from leaving a review at the end? I feel that I must apologize first since my theory is just a shot in the dark. I think it's not very clear how to rate and review once a story is over. Since this part is in a different area than that for leaving comments on chapters, I feel like people might be a little confused. Of course, I have no idea how to do it differently so that the rate & review part appears more clearly. Maybe once a story is marked as 'complete', have a small area right under the last chapter - where readers could be asked 'Please leave a rating and review' and to be sent exactly where that must happen? Again, I have no idea how this would work from a technical point of view, so I'm just expressing an idea. Another thing that might be helpful, I believe, would be to give reviewers a small incentive, something like a small badge to show on their profiles. Voracious readers might be interested in getting this sort of thing.

All caught up! Thank you for the story!

And the truth is out ... Loz is in trouble, sigh. There's no easy way out now. I will look forward to see how you're going to solve this situation. (I have trust in you!)
-
Yeah, that one. Haven't watched it, but there were small movies and trailers, and watched those.
-
And here comes the pain ... Sigh (don't worry, I'm just exaggerating). But it's good to see progress in Loz.
-
The 'ha ha' reaction is for the block of cheese ... So many sweet and nice chapters ... So good ... Oh, look, the next chapter comes Loz! Damn!
-
Let's call it female intuition, ha, ha.
-
Ha, ha, the dads put the foot down! (And all I can think of is that movie with the emotions and the father getting the inner thingy telling him to put the foot down!)
-
And now it's time for me to say ... I knew it! About Amy and Julie, of course!
-
So happy for Daniel! And I think this new family will be great for him!

csr January CSR Discussion Day: Fun with FanFiction by Laura S. Fox

Yeah, we are probably going to be old and grey by the time He Tian and Momo have their first proper kiss, not to mention other things. I watched that series with the fudanshi for a while, but I can't remember what episode I saw last. But I do remember how funny it was that the guy's friends thought he got himself a girlfriend and he was just sharing his passion for yaoi with a fellow fushoji lol. The episodes are just several minutes, there is this format that's embraced for some series for some reason (budget constraints, maybe). For the lulz, I'd say to watch it. And I should re-watch it, too, now that you reminded me of it. So I'm glad I ruined your life by getting you on board with 19 Days, he, he. Thank you for reading my story, Thorn. I really appreciate it! -
Oh, I really liked this silver lining in this chapter, I really did. For now, Danny will be with the kind teacher, so he'll be fine. Of course, there are still many chapters, and I do believe that you still have plenty of angst in the bag for all of us

Poor baby ... And what we all feared happened. Now I hope the grownups will let him stay with Michael.

Ah, Brother Denmark, of course, now I see it ... As for the Romania comic, ha, ha, I shouldn't laugh, but that's the idea: vampires and gypsies should be our coat of arms, lol. I prefer the yaoi version with Romania in a very hot relationship with Bulgaria. But thanks for that! -

Ha, ha, ha, I haven't seen those until now! Thanks for the links! Sister Japan is clearly a fushoji - which is basically a girl/woman who enjoys reading stories focused on romantic relationships between guys. When I looked at the comics first, I thought it was some Hetalia fanart, lol! Hetalia is a very quirky anime about countries and their history. For some reason, they are represented as hot guys and a few hot girls (again, I have no idea what makes a country 'male' or 'female', it's totally the creators' decision). While the anime doesn't exactly hint at yaoi relationships between countries, there's plenty of fanart around. I think the Scandinavian countries are pretty cute as guys, and most probably a lot of fans ship them together (not only as pairs, mind you). Of course, my favorite is my homeboy Romania, who gets in some occult stuff with England, since they both like dark magic or something. Don't ask, that show is so weird. I might ruin your life with this, but here's the link to all the Hetalia characters: https://hetalia.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Hetalia:_Axis_Powers_characters As for nosebleed, yes, yes, yes, that is such a regular trope. Whenever you like something, a character, or there's a hot scene, you only need to say *major nosebleed, and that's enough said, lol. Hmm, I've been writing plenty of fanfiction, not that I'm proud of all, lol, but I'm currently focusing more on writing original fiction. Ah, I wish I had more time for fanfiction, too ... Thank you for your questions, Timothy! -
Intermission: Stephen
Laura S. Fox commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Intermission: Stephen
Ah, damn, now I'm conflicted ... If word gets out how Danny's mom really is, that could mean a lot of things, one of them Daniel being taken away from her ... I appreciate the teacher's kindness, but, at this point, Daniel might just be pulled out of a place where he finally has friends and a little balance in his life. -
I totally understand Danny's conflict over Loz and all. Even if he realizes that he should tell a grown-up what's going on, he cannot bring himself to say it, due to how he has lived all his life, conditioned and abused by others. I'm glad that he gets along with Michael so well
-
Ha, ha, so good for Michael to fill up the blanks when you can't find your words. Deacon: Michael, Dan's your boyfriend. Like live with it, lol.
-
Now that was good progression on the Loz front. He needs to grow up more, much, much more. But at least he has a brother he can talk to, sort of. At this point, I believe that maybe, one day, not without drama, not without pain, he might tell his father about it all.
-
Yay, fluffy confession time! See how well I tiptoe around the sad parts? I'm not good with commenting on those, I'm afraid! My heart really weeps for Danny ... Poor baby. But he has Michael now!
-
Oh, poor Danny ... Damn, but some kids should get some serious physical correction when it's needed. I refer to Patrick and the others. Jamal should have made them piss their pants. Not funny when you're the weaker one, right? But I'm glad Michael found out. What he will do with that info, I'll just have to read and see
