  1. This appears to be the general consensus How he will leave his job, it will be a surprise, though! That I promise! Thanks for keeping up, Timmy!
  2. Thank you so much for your beautiful comment! Aidan needs to work on himself, too, especially that denial! He will get there!
  3. The boss's speech was one of the hard things to write for this story, as it is difficult to catch language subtleties - especially when the language in question is not yours - to convey what's needed. Your comment makes me believe that I managed to get the point across, so thanks for confirming!
  4. Hey, Wes (now I'm the one being late), you're so right to hate Aidan's boss. I can only guarantee that you'll hate him even more as the story continues. As for Aidan, he tends to be a little stubborn and he doesn't want to be helped, determined that he should succeed on his own. All will change, nonetheless, so thanks for sticking with the story!
  5. Chapter Twenty-Two – A Secret You Already Know Aidan was pretty happy with how things were going, for now, as for someone like him, they could not have been better. He had tried to think of himself as being completely self-sufficient, at least after leaving home and going to live on his own. But it wasn’t fair to deny how nice it felt to go back to Heathcliff every day. The man always waited for him with a nutritious and delicious meal, a hot shower, and even hotter sex. Well, maybe he w

We've definitely ... come a long way, lol! I feel like a relationship needs time to grow. Of course, sometimes, people could meet and match perfectly, but if that were the case here, I wouldn't have a story to tell! I'm definitely content that you notice all these little things. I tend to forget some of them, even if I'm the one who wrote them, lol! Thank you for being such a dedicated reader! (Also, your puns are to die for)

I'm so glad someone pays so close attention to what is going on between the two, and especially to the slight changes that occur so slowly that they might be easy to miss. Thank you for your trust in Heath; he only has good intentions, including when he wants to have Aidan relaxed through certain methods! (And I laughed at that last part)

Ah, I knew you would find a good gif to make my day! That's definitely Aidan, going through the hoops! (Even if there are no hoops, just obstacles, lol)

If it were only a spark It's a full-fledged fire! Yes, they are both happy, they just have to work out the kinks in their communication. Thanks a lot!

Denial is their middle name. But their resistance is bound to wear off at some point! I promise! And thanks a lot for reading and commenting!

It is often said that no one is a prophet in their own country (I have no idea if this saying exists in English, so that's just a mot-a-mot translation from my language), so it is easier for Michael to see what's happening with Heath, and vice versa. Thank you for your comment! (Also, no bunnies this time around? :))

Chapter Twenty-One – Hooked Heathcliff had to give it to Michael. The man had good advice, even if he was bad at following the same principles when he was personally involved. So, inviting him to have lunch and hang out at one of their favorite places was what he had in mind. “So, how are things in your corner of the universe?” Michael smiled the moment he sat across from him. “Hey, your advice worked, so all is well. The bunny is yet to be stuck inside a cage and roams freely. I hop
  18. That may happen, but it will surely take some time. Thank you for liking the story!
  19. Honesty is good in small doses with some people, lol! But it does matter, too, who gives whom what! Thanks a lot for keeping up with the story!
  20. That's well said! Aidan thinks he's so well protected ...
  21. And thank you for accepting my messy characters into your life!
  22. Ah, I couldn't have said it better! It must be true what they say, about people tending to be their own worst enemies, and that might just be little bunny's case! Thank you for your reaction, it really brought a smile on my face!
  23. I know! Isn't it?
  24. Thank you, Dave! It was a blast writing it, too!
  25. Chapter Twenty - Keeping It Real What would they talk about? Aidan was dragging his feet a little as he walked from the car to the door. He knocked and waited patiently. In the silence of the evening, he could almost hear his heart beating fast. Nervously, he wiped his palms and smoothed down his suit in the process. He had a mind to turn on his heels and run away, no matter how childish that would look. Heathcliff opened the door, terminating his internal debate. Aidan had troubles look
