The thing with writing a story from a single point of view is that it is impossible to know what the other characters are really thinking. Yes, you are right, Aron is not a shallow person, and he didn't just fall for Alex's good looks. All the characters are on their very convoluted paths and there is a string of ups and downs that brought them to the current time of the story. I'm glad that you're enjoying my story so far. First of all, thank you for your comment! I understand how Carter's denial may come across as something out of the ordinary. I hope that as more of the character's personality is revealed, especially through other people's eyes, not his, because we're never our own most objective judges, more of his behavior will make sense. As for the mystery part - eh, I'm not going to answer your question, since what happened during the accident is the crux of the matter, so to speak, and I would practically reveal the ending - thanks for pointing out the lack of a corresponding tag. I lived under the impression that I had to choose only two major tags, so I went for comedy and romance, as the genres went. But now I edited and updated them with both mystery and paranormal, so thanks for the suggestion
