Ah, ah, why didn't I think about laundry? Poor Simon! He, he ... Well, yeah, Carter needs more practice and he is just going to get it! Although, hint, hint, he might not settle for just being a bottom, after all. Ha, ha, that one with mom really cracked me up! Yeah, I think that must be ... And it should have been such a sad moment ... As for the hug magnet, he really did that to himself, didn't he? Now he has to live with the consequences! Thank you for a hilarious comment!
  2. Ah, definitely! I was thinking of some specific situations, and the men I was talking about were probably more experienced with life in general, hence my conclusion. But, yes, I can easily imagine the kind of situations you are talking about!
  3. Yeah, your description of what happened is right on target. Carter felt vulnerable, so he let down some walls. Glad you liked it! And yeah, even if he thought his folks don't care to come see him in the hospital, the reality is totally different. But the relationship between Carter and his parents plays a role in how he shaped as a person, and also I hope it will offer some answers as the story progresses. Plus, we both know by now that we cannot rely on Carter completely to offer a clear representation and interpretation of reality. Ah, I'm so thrilled people love Mark more and more. You're clearly right in your observations! He is the perfect assistant, just not the kind Carter thinks and is too blind to consider the possibilities. Being the scattered brain that he is, that shouldn't come as a surprise. He's a clear case of not seeing the forest from the trees. And that reminds me of a cartoon I was watching years ago, with King Arthur and Merlin the Wizard, that was really quirky and funny. The two had to fight some creature - I think it was the two-headed fire-breathing bull of Valencia, but I may be wrong - and the scene was like this: Merlin: Look, sire! Over there! Arthur: Ah! A sparrow! Merlin: No, behind that sparrow! And, of course, behind the sparrow, there was the two-headed fire-breathing bull of Valencia! That's Carter for me! It won't be the last time he's looking in the wrong direction! Ah, Simon ... He is not a pod person, the poor thing! He's just a little silly! And Carter will have to take care of him. Many hugs, my dear godmother. It's a real pleasure to read your comments.
  4. Ah, awesome! Your guess is a bit remote from what I wanted to say with Carter's dad's reaction to Alex (with Carter inside), but still spot on. Carter's dad might not know about his son's attraction to Aron (or guess it), but he does see Alex for who he is, that being someone who gets away with a lot of things just because of his looks. From my experience, men have a more acute sense when it comes to seeing beautiful people for what they are. Women are just easier to impress by a pretty face. I saw it happening in front of my eyes, lol! So, yes, you were right, Carter's dad didn't react like that because he recognized his son in the other. Carter's parents tend to be quite rational and they would not think of something as crazy like that! Even if it's true!
  5. Oh, your feelings are spot on! Well, Simon is sort of naive, so Carter feels the need to handle him with care. How that will work out will be one of the points I want to make about Carter's character. Alex would be as cruel as you say, and just play with Simon. Ah, you'll love Mark even more, I think. And I hope the revelation about him will be worth the wait. Thank you for your nice comment!
  6. Oh, Carter will get his chance to find out if he would still have a chance with Aron under other circumstances. But there are still plenty of adventures to experience until then. Thank you for commenting! Cheers!
  7. Ha, ha, don't worry, Carter will make up for all his mishaps in due time. Now, I don't want to disappoint anyone in regards to Carter's parents, but it will be someone else who'll have a short - and I mean incredibly short - glimpse of who really is now in Alex's body. It will be some time into the future, and you'll understand why at that particular given moment (hopefully for me, as the writer who comes up with this plot). I'm glad you like Mark! He plays an important part in the story! As for Simon ... yeah, your description of him is pretty much accurate.
  8. Chapter Fifteen – Doors And Walls It was late in the evening when he finally went home. He had taken the car and driven aimlessly for hours, trying hard to ignore the mess in his brain. Like a burglar, he sneaked into the house. Maybe Aron was already asleep and he wasn’t going to offer any explanations now. He took off his shoes and began to walk slowly through the living room. Maybe he was just going to crash on the sofa. The sound of a door opening and the light flooding the room

He, he, I just hope I'm not going to start disappearing and only leave a grin behind. Thank you for enjoying the ride. There is more of this story, so buckle up!

Ah, you're on to something here ... But it won't be Carter's mom who'll catch that glimpse. That person is very important to Carter, but you cannot guess who it is at this moment, as I haven't yet provided enough information for that. Anyway, good guess!

Ah, Wes, I bet you only want to be a famous screenwriter!

He, he, thanks a lot for all the appreciation! Don't worry, I'm not letting anyone die in this story! It's still a comedy and it won't bode well to make it into a tragedy. I'm glad you feel for Alex and Simon, too, even though they're not the most likable characters. Mark is ... maybe your definition is the closest to the truth As for updates ... ah, from time to time, I might diverge from the regular posting and have one chapter thrown in the middle of the week. #notapromise

I can only send lots of love back! Thank you for your support! It's one of the biggest motivators for me!

Ah, no problem! For some reason, I was thinking about what another reader said in a comment for the previous chapter, when he said that he had hopes for Aron knowing that it was Carter all along in his husband's body. I should have thought of the misplaced name when you said 'fellow pod person', but I guess I already had an idea in my head, and just went with it! Well, it happens! But, yeah, of course, now it makes perfect sense what you said!

I noticed this comment after I replied to the one for the last chapter. So I'm going at this a bit in a roundabout way. He, he, the universe helping Carter ... :)) Guess the reason for my joy! Yes, he was lost in his own skin, I could not have put it better myself! Now it's his chance to right a few wrongs. I don't feel like I'm commiting a huge sin if I'm saying that no one will die in this story. Even as I go deeper, I still want to keep it light hearted. So I promise! Solemnly even! No one will die. I tend to believe at this point that the entire explanation in the end will be simple and simplistic compared to what my clever readers envision. But I hope it will have its up points, nonetheless. Thanks for commenting, as usual!

Oh, dear godmother, there are some heavy points you laid out here. About Aron, spot on. I feel like I should say that I - sort of - revealed Mark's nature. It was laid out in the open, but maybe it seemed too obvious? I am on the other side of the fence so I can't really say. But there will be more breadcrumbs along the way, and if you won't be able to guess, or other readers, it will only mean I was way too obscure in my clues (so lesson to learn for me). As I replied to ObicanDecko, Simon's role has a certain importance for the story. It will help Carter understand something. Carter's mom was bound to come along. I had her waiting on the sideline for too long, actually. And she was in the right place, at the right time here, and I won't say anything more. Thank you for the comment! Always loving to hear from you!

Oh, who Mark is will be revealed! I just might say that you should all blame Wes, though, for throwing in the idea of a Greek deity! It wasn't me! Thanks for the comment!

He, he, Wes is actually closer than you in regards to Mark ... Also, ridiculous is Carter's middle name ... so no wonder he does stuff like that. Plus, he's really, really convinced that he's not gay, right? (Except when he's gay for Aron and he still has no idea what to do with that new piece of information).

I should have known ... lol!

    9 to 5

Nah, not at all I did manage to make Alex such an incredibly bad character, lol. I'm not going to give answers ... but somehow, I have to say that you are a bit 'warm' about Mark Although I don't know your favorite Greek deity! Appollo?

Chapter Fourteen – 9 to 5 Was living like a star always like this? Carter had to admit that while the wild ride to work in that car had been awesome, the stares he got while waiting for the lights to change, along with all the giggles and even a few not so veiled invitations from both men and women, had made him feel rather ... icky. Maybe driving a fancy car was really not for him. Alex’s lifestyle was so overdone. It made one wonder what could be hiding underneath. He was about to

Ah, damn, like I replied to BASILB, that wasn't my intention! Lol, I need to pay more attention to how I make things sound!

    Little Boxes

Ah, damn ... I didn't realize the situation can be read that way ... Gosh, it looks like I manage to make things ambiguous even when I'm not supposed to! As for Carter and his boxes ... there's an explanation to that. It will come at the right time!

    Little Boxes

Oh, oh, I just don't really know what to say to that ... I hope my answers, when they'll come, in the story, I mean, will make things more clear!
