Oh, indeed, it is that sort of love... I usually like my characters a little 'spunky', but then sometimes I'm in the mood to write this sort of kind person who's just open for it, while the conflict emerges from the outside. This was a really beautiful comment -

I'm glad how readers noticed the 'top of the tower' thing, even if it is not said directly. Like an Easter egg! -

He-he-he, not so fast... But I promise a HEA, you know how it is with me and my stories. Danny might be the one who doesn't want to give up after their passionate lovemaking. I want Danny, however, to have his 'holy shit' moment when he sees Ryder's wolf for the first time. -

Replying to comments on this chapter first since I didn't have the time yesterday. I love the gif - if it would always be night when you're in love. And you're welcome, of course! -
Chapter Three – The Three Musketeers Lyn noticed Brad first. It had always been that way – him searching for his best friend whenever entering a room, and Brad, as if guided by an invisible hand, turning to meet his eyes and breaking into a smile. The last long eight years were gone in a flash when Brad turned on his heel, as he had always done before, his whole face lighting up with a grin as huge as the tropical sun waiting for them outside the rather unwelcoming and austere airport

Chapter Fourteen – Big (Not Bad) Wolf I will die if I can’t have you now. Those words had made him come undone. Who could resist that? Danny let his head fall back as Ryder went at his neck with the hunger of a wild animal. Something of how his unusual guest behaved made Danny think of him as a big wolf, but not a bad one. He shouldn’t say it out loud. The good upbringing Ryder must have received from his very conservative family would most likely prevent him from telling Danny he felt

That should work, too!

So, so true... he still has his own hang-ups, though.

Good point! We'll see what Hearst does...
-
Yes, yes, my name is Laura Cliffhanger, actually... you've found my true identity - my villain identity, lol. All I need is a mask now! No, the story won't take that tangent, I promise you

Oh, l'enfant terrible strikes again... Wen saw his brother in the bunny outfit because he took pictures in the past, pictures he put on Xpress. Of course, at the time, he didn't know it was Hearst inside that outfit. Jamie tends to be... ah, I shouldn't say naïve, but when you've been chasing a dream for sometime, you might clutch at straws. I've seen people doing it in real life, people no one would expect to be gullible or prone to just shooting themselves in the foot. Too bad the story is pretty much written. No amazing drumstick act I'm afraid. And no royalties for you, either, lol.

Jamie needs to stop being stubborn, and I agree. Hearst will have to play his part... and Wen, well, Wen seriously needs a reality check. Whether he learns something out of it or not, it's up to him.

Chapter Forty-One – The Dark Side of Jamie Vayne “Pick up, pick up, pick up,” Hearst repeated the command like a mantra, pressing the phone against his ear, as if that would help convince the person at the other end to answer their phone. He didn’t have a plan; at least, not one he could call a foolproof plan. Before he started digging, the way his brother claimed a bona fide journalist should be able to dig, he needed to contact Jamie and warn him about those fuckers at LiveFeed. The

I'm glad that you mentioned the butt-sniffing stuff, lol. Actually, I'm keeping that expression for a certain scene... that I'm going to use in... a... sequel... Jack covers the word 'quirky' down to a tee! But he's going to stick around...
-
It's funny that I'm currently writing about doggos when I'm totally a cat person, lol. But that exaggeration with perfume and whatnot is something I hate, too. There are no distinctive notes anymore if you douse yourself with it! Where I live, we consider that a lack of manners... Ryder's nose doesn't lie!

To Have Lost vs. Not At All
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in To Have Lost vs. Not At All
Ryder-Danny sounds like a good name for a team! Thank you for your comments! They are all much appreciated! Also, under a dog is a great pun. Very accurate. Outstanding. Chef's kiss. -
What Misunderstanding?
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in What Misunderstanding?
I don't think I'd ever be so cruel to readers - and/or my characters - to throw that much of a big fat red herring... But it's nice to have a bit of doubt, I guess it makes things a bit more exciting, a bit more interesting. And I love it when readers join a character in his ups and downs, and in this case, Ryder when he likes Danny's smell, and Danny, when he feels so attracted to this stranger who seems too good to be true! -
Would You Sleep with Me?
Laura S. Fox commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Would You Sleep with Me?
S for Serenity... he-he-he... sometimes it might be S for s-chaos, or shenanigans... One thing that often motivates me to write something is that I can't find the sort of story I'd like to read while browsing through various offerings in a certain genre or sub-genre. And I just like the idea of a 'fish out of the water'. Then I had the image of a wolfshifter coming to a big city and having sort of a cultural shock. After came the idea of an anchor in this chaotic world, and that was how Danny formed himself in my mind... and after, the story happened! -
