Definitely happy to see you alive and kicking As for your comments, you are getting closer and closer to the truth... and the mystery of the night of the fire will be revealed. I believe that you are correct, and that Otis is, indeed the true hero of the story. After all, it's him on the cover, and the blurb talks about his thoughts upon meeting Hudson... so I guess from the start I believed that even if I wasn't aware of it completely.

That's one thing I wanted to portray in the story. While Otis's past marked him, his ability to survive, his will to live is something that only became stronger because of that. I'm so happy when people notice these things.

Hmm, I have to admit that I didn't think of Watkins as more than a henchman... A punishment is not unlikely at this point, since he appears to annoy his boss. Now, that description of his torture is on a different level! Which means that my bad guys are really bad and cause such strong reactions in the readers. Mission accomplished Angel is going to be in the thick of things, one way or another. You're right on the money regarding Otis. He has his perks, and one is an analytical mind, indeed. While I never give spoilers, people who've read my works know that my middle name is HEA. I'll just leave this here

The peak of the story is getting close. For now, we have all the actors in place, and they will start moving on the chess board. I won't divulge anything, since I want the impact to be the highest it can be when things will happen on page - and you'll read them - but I really hope all the wait and anticipation will be worth it.

I'm not sure right now if you've read and participated in the comment section on other of my stories, but I can assure you that I'm always up for reading speculations from readers, especially when there's a mystery involved. I am reading them all with much interest, only that I don't comment on them because I live in fear of spoilers, lol. However, when we reach the end, you'll know if your theories were correct, where you got close, and you can tell me then how the story's twists and turns matched them or not. Either way, I know I am repeating myself, I love to read this sort of commentary.

Hudson is a good detective, I like to think. He has a cool head on his shoulders and doesn't act rashly. In this case, keeping his cool really served, and now he's on the inside, so to speak.

I believe that I might give your heart plenty of reasons to beat faster... and not for the usual ones. Although I like to think and the budding romance between Otis and Hudson will balance the darkness. Your questions are valid. How much Watkins knows? Is he really on board with everything? Your comments on Keres's behavior are spot on. His soul is as black as the devil, and in synch with his physical appearance. He'll speak about it in his 'villain monologue', I promise! As for Otis... as usual, he's a darling. He's accommodating and gracious, and that really brings Hudson to his knees, without Otis even realizing.
