Shock therapy indeed... The path opened for Hudson and Jackie as his informant is indeed, dangerous, and the danger will heighten with each episode. I am personally a big fan of thrillers, so this is me trying my hand at writing something like this. I hope that the climax of the story will do justice to all the high stakes action thrillers I've read so far in my life. Otis is taking baby steps in what means to have a relationship. He is new to this feeling of jealousy although not new to feeling insecure... -

Totally my bad. I should have strengthen the warnings. To say the whole truth, when I began writing this story, I had no idea it would turn so dark in places, but, as I continued, I realized that for Otis's purity and character to shine through, it was necessary to use a background that is so much the opposite of him so that true justice would be given to him in the end. -

As always, for these comments, I hesitate between laugh and love. Otis did a little blunder, and now Hudson has to deal with it. On the other hand, it's not Otis's fault that his boyfriend is an undercover cop, nor was he advised not to say anything. As for Jackie, we shall see

Better late than never! Just joking, you were right on time Hudson will have quite the things to juggle and manage, and it's not easy, but hey, when have I ever liked it easy? In fiction, of course. Your analysis of Jackie is on point, and I did laugh a little at imagining Jackie saying the line you gave him. It fits him like a glove. HEAs guaranteed? Of course!

Oh, well, Jasper didn't exactly return of his own accord... Hudson will have to deal with Jackie next time, and that will really put the story on a slightly different track. But I'm shutting up now. No spoilers.

Yes, Hudson didn't get quite that good a look at Jackie as he should have, and that came to bite him in the ass. Still, since this was necessary for the plot, and it was inevitable (as you said), it had to happen. Hudson may be plenty rough around the edges, but he's also smart and wouldn't eliminate a civilian because he got in the way... He's the sort of guy to take hard decisions, but not at the price of a sense of morality he upholds even if not always through orthodox ways. There won't be a need for an alternative truth. Hudson has an ace up his sleeve, something he doesn't even know just yet. He - and the readers - will find what it is soon enough.

Disappearing Jackie would be too much... but Hudson is smart, and he's good at thinking on his feet. I won't give away spoilers, but next time you'll see how Hudson handles Jackie.
