  1. Well I'm still learning how to take negative criticism and trying to distinguish whether or not there is even actual criticism in the message sent to me. Obviously worrying about my time between posts, complaining about the shorter length, time of day I decided to post, and etc. I don't need to think about any of those. I don't like complaining. Even complaining with some hints of constructive criticism is something that I don't like to read. Usually I just over look most comments that are good as well. I don't really need to know whether or not people are liking the story. It conserns me when they complain and they lash out at me personally. That's what causes any despairity and funk. There are many variables that causes me to not even want to look at a story of mine. The one you asked about was Complaining and Negative Criticism though. This one is probably the one that's least going to keep me from writing. I think a writer has to go through one major "despairity" to learn how to cope with some of the harsh things readers say (the ones that also have truth to them) I mean mine happened when I ended a story. To get help with dealing with it. I came here and posted. The people here are pretty helpful about calming despairity and taking away the negative thoughts. Krista

    WTF!

Hey, Well, I happen to like your writing. I wasn't aware that you were posting on e-fiction until today to be honest... sorry. You have it in you and people will read and like your work. So I know I'm like the worst person to tell you to be patient as I have a terrible time at being patient myself.. But be patient.. Personally I think the Anthology idea is probably the best way for Authors who want to become better known and established here. Being active does help too, but anyway, I do want to sit down and read your stuff. TTYL, Krista

  8. Lol, the creativity of guys lying nude on a table. But my creative mind went down the list and added people I knew who I thought would say one of those on that list... made it a lot more hilarious. Yes, somtimes in college I do have too much time on my hands... lol Krista
  9. If you're having trouble coming up with names to characters visit Baby Naming websites. I have a terrible time naming characters that aren't important in the story so just to get some names in thought I go to them. It at least gives me a variety to look at. Krista

    Homework

Lol, Well, Homework is something that I do not do until last minute now that I'm in college... haha, I also do believe that three to four hours a day is a lot, but that's not too crazy of a homework schedule really. There are some schools though that let the teachers over do it a bit. I mean Blake, my little brother has sometimes started homework at four and not get finished until 10. With me helping him a lot of the time. Then this year his schedule has been a little more relaxed, but he's making better grades. So I know that when a student has too much to do a night it creates a stressful environment. There are a lot of ways to teach and teachers that give more than two hours of reading and homework should rethink their methods a little. Especially if you have more than one teacher a day demanding that much time from you after you get home. I agree with you, the more people like a subject the better they learn it. In college a professor will tell you that you that you need to study for a certain amount of time a day just for their class. For my Biology lab my professor said that in order to succeed with an A we all needed to devote three hours a day to reading and studying. I believe him after my first test.. haha.. lol. So yes, as students we all hate homework. When I was in high school my activities were, Basketball Practice, Dance Team Practice, and Volleyball Practice in the spring. Then in the fall I had Dance Team practice and Conditioning for Volleyball and Basketball. So that would mean me getting home on some days around 10:00 pm. Then Doing homework from then until I got finished which could mean me not getting to bed until 3 in the morning.. haha. I put all of that on myself though. Krista
  11. Well I construct characters from many different things. One character could have different mannerisms from two or three different people that I know. It really depends on the story and what I want the characters to do in the end. Then in stories like, "Are You Christian," which has a Religious theme I let the story create the characters. Their reactions to things that happen and their conflicts and fears. For their names I've named some after friends and others after family. Krista

  13. Well I can sit down and write a chapter to a story in about an hour flowing or not. I do have a rouch idea of a main point I want to cover in the chapter that I'm writing on though. When I have trouble then I just don't write. I also hate when I have to stop in the middle of a chapter because I made the mistake in starting it in a time frame that isn't open for me. So I always try to write a chapter in one sitting and that rarely takes me longer than an hour to do. Krista
  14. Well at least they were honest during a survey. Some kind of hope for honesty and freedom I guess. I really do feel for the people who are pressured into living in a way that they know would make them unhappy. I also hate that we have to label and profile everyone just to be able to function. But, I see or hear about it everyday in Kentucky of the pressures. I mean I have been called a lesbian because I for some reason am not married yet. I've dated a lot over the years as well. In high school if you didn't ever have a boyfriend or girlfriend you were automatically labeled as gay or lesbian. Just stupidity, so the pressures for them to always be adamant about labeling themselves as straight is justified. Just another thing to frown on society for. Krista
  15. Well if you're not out and doing this paper here is a suggestion that you can think on. Now Sexual Biasness isn't limited to how homosexual relationships and homosexuals are treated. There are also stereotypes surrounding women as well as men that you could also research. It would add a diverse opinion and others may think that you're doing your paper on a whole idea instead of just a singled out bias. Of course in the end it is your decision. Krista
  16. Well the club scenes that I've witnessed are alright, but I've only been to gay clubs with friends.. lol. The person below me was completely spanked by an exam they took recently...
  17. Aww, that really was a cute lil video. Krista
  18. Yes, wondering all about that... lol. The person below me has gotten into the middle of two friend's relationship then gets blamed for it...

  22. Hey, Well death in any story should be looked at as a large event in the story. Characters that are introduced and then killed three chapters later that never had any real importance is just a waste. Death though is common in fictions everywhere not just gay fictions. What may be leading up to that death is really what is common. The way the character dies is probably common as well. In my own writing there is one story that a character will die in. The death of that character will come at the end of the story. Which is why I'm not in any hurry to finish that story, because I know I'd have a terrible time not making the story into the, "They're finally in love then you off one of them!" I don't want to deal with death in my stories, but there are a few people that did approach it in a way that I enjoyed. I tend to stay away from a romance story developed in a realistic style where a character dies during a violent act. That's just my opinion on reading though. Nothing inappropriate about that if done correctly. Anyway so death in stories should never be thrown in just to cause a twist to keep the story going longer, right? To make the death appropriate for the story it should either be explained afterwards or hinted through out using techniques like "foreshadowing." Then try to think of creative and appropriate ways for a character to die that's does fit the story.
  23. Happy Birthday Miso Have a good one! Krista
