Yes, I wanted to explore different ways of how singers can handle being gay and how it can affect their career. Hehe good observation! I've noticed that a lot of kpop stars wear colored contacts, so that was the inspiration here. And another great observation. Jealousy and rivalry will be prominent themes throughout the story. Oh absolutely, it's been revealed that Ash's relationship with Marcus is an "open secret" - his record label and friends (and even Marcus' friends, such as the dancer Mikaela, as we've seen) know about it. Ash just isn't allowed to come out publicly due to his contract with the label. And Samson definitely knows more than it seems, this is just the first such hint.

Thank you both for the comments, I'm glad you enjoyed the story! I do apologize for not putting out new chapters for a while - I put the story on hold while I decide whether to rewrite some parts of it before I continue writing new chapters. I do intend to finish it, but it may take some time.

Phew, that's good to hear! Yeah, maybe I should've posted Chapter 1 as the Prologue, that way it would've been more separate from the rest of the story. Anyway, I'm glad it works this way too.
