  1. This should get interesting (Sorry @weinerdog )
  2. I can't imagine kissing someone with poor dental health would be very pleasant 🤢
  3. Sounds like me and my husband. He's the reason we meet our deductible by February every year. Me? I'm the one who waves my toothbrush at my teeth twice a day and every six months my hygienist says "I wish all my cleanings were this easy." I'm just lucky when it comes to teeth.
  4. Trying not to melt into a puddle of goo. The heat and humidity right now is oppressive. This morning MrsGnomie sent me a screenshot of her weather out on the Oregon coast for the next week and I'm downright green with envy. Lol. Mid 60s in day. Low 50s at night. I'm working on finishing up the last story in my shifter series. Only 7 or 8 more chapters to go, I think. We'll see how it flows. I'm not sure if I'll get anything done for the anthology. Maybe something short. Stay cool at the fair. It's a great thing you're doing... educating people on mental health and addiction recovery services. We need it. ❤️
  5. I really wish there was an eye-rolling with a head shaking reaction icon. Maybe even a jaw drop.
  6. Keep chasing....
  7. I snorted at kindergerms
  8. Now that I'm up, awake, gone through the morning routine and am at work I can comment on the chapter. Despite the late posting due to "last minute tweaking" requiring a beta read at 9:30 last night, this was an important chapter. It gave Kyan a little wake-up call and showed him that Perry is more important than he realized. It's the first step on the ladder to the diving board where he's going to have to decide if he's going to jump off and go head first into the deep end or if he's going to back out. She's going to leave you hanging though as to what chapter that is.
  9. Nice teaser.
  10. He'll be too busy chasing after the non-existent second bone.
  11. I'm going to bed. Too damn late for me. Alarm goes off in five and a half hours. At least it's Friday!
  12. She snuck this one in
  13. Sorry W_L, while I absolutely love a good horror novel, movies are a no-go. I blame my parents who apparently thought it was a good idea to take 7 year old me and one of my brothers who was 12 to see Jaws on a rainy day while on vacation. Can you say Technicolor nightmares, waking up screaming and puking all over the hotel bed at 2am? Yeah... fun. Haven't seen a horror movie since unless you count The Fly with Jeff Goldblum. First date with my now-husband.
  14. Somebody is slacking this morning.
  15. I'm sure there's still plenty of stale popcorn on the floor.
  16. I'm a keyboard warrior because I'm sick of a certain cry baby whining that she misses Caleb. I need to shut her up.
  17. Some of the comments bothered me too. I don't know why people feel it necessary to publicly cut down someone's work. Especially an amateur writer. Most of us were taught that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I'm looking forward to seeing who wrote what because I've given up trying to figure it out. I think I know one. That's all. I'd rather start stressing about the anthology. Two and a half months to figure something out and get it written. I have a few ideas. It's making one of them stick that's the issue. Right now I've got a bunch of things floating around my head with no one directing the traffic. Total chaos. Lol.
  18. Don't you wish you could just crack open their brass balls with a set of brass knuckles? The sheer audacity of people. SMH.
  19. Today started with some incredibly loud thunder boomers waking me up at 5am. Alarm is set for 5:30. You couldn't wait a half hour Mother Nature? 🤨 It cooled the air for all of a nanosecond and then all the moisture on the ground created a nice sauna for the rest of the day. Cia did a great job putting together the Secret Author contest. I read all the stories. A few were really difficult to get through (for various reasons, but that's just me). I really like these challenges. It gives me a chance to read something I may not have given a glance at otherwise. It also gives authors a chance to try new things, maybe a format or genre they haven't done before. As the word count is limited, it's a good way to test the waters without having to commit to anything in depth. It's just another reason why I'm glad I found this site. Have a good night everyone!
