My editor @astone2292didn't hold back when he chastised me overmy original oversight if not letting Mama send them off with some kind of food. Cookies were a compromise I was happy to make.

This is some great advice. I'm currently working on some character development and was trying to think non-sexual ways for my characters to connect. This hit the nail on the head. So thank you!

I've had to attend some pretty tedious graduations. The worst being one of my necessary, a three hour affair for a whopping 80 graduates. It was torture. The best was my younger son's. Class of 2020, one positive outcome of Covid fallout, we were in and out in 20 minutes. I'm pretty sure there's a federal statute out there requiring a Cracker Barrel every third exit off I-95 from Virginia to Florida. You'll have to wait to get answers on the rest.

It's amazing how this year has matured Will. He and Zach have a lot of obstacles between them and I have a feeling it will be a while in the timeline before they can find the right niche fir them to be together. Great chapter!

I'm sure Mama is onto them too, but like all moms, she'll hang onto the intel until just the right moment. Elijah isn't naive. He's realistic though.

Graduation night I went to the beach with 3 friends. One was a couple years older than us. She was grandfathered in and could legally buy and she was our designated driver. We stayed out until sunrise, went back to one friend's house, caught a couple hours of sleep then headed home to decorate my own Graduation cake for the family party. Overall pretty low-key. I was never one for loud parties because, well, ewww... people.

I didn't acquire a taste for wine until later in life when my sister-in-law became my family-get-together-drinking-buddy. It's how we survived big gatherings with the in-laws.

I remember more of my high school graduation than my college. Mostly because I almost didn't make it. We got sideswiped coming out of our street. Luckily one of my brothers worked down the street and he was able to get me to the civic center on time, barely. Mom and Dad made it right as things started.

I never had a curfew. My parents just wanted to know what time I'd be home and if I was going to be later to call. This was pre-cell phone days so it was a hassle to find a phone so I was usually home when I said I would be, which was most often by midnight because that was the curfew for my friends. Swiping booze, well, let's just say my BFF and I started that around 13. Our parents never suspected us because we both had brothers to blame it on.

We're at a transition point in the story. They needed one more day of normalcy and Ty's family are the only ones who can provide it. They're going to have their hands full soon.

My teachers did love me. I was the poster child for well behave Catholic school girl. The only difference between me and the troublemakers was I rarely got caught. I do have the gift of gab and I've never been to Ireland to kiss the blarney stone. It's in the genes.
