Elijah's world is turned completely upside down when he returns home from Montana. Can darkness be the path to happiness or will shadows overwhelm him? More twists and turns (and yes, cliffies too!) in the journey of finding out what happened to the hybrid pups. It's not an easy path. I promise. Happiness Is a Warm Puppy That is the name of a Peanuts book my dad had in his nightstand when I was a kid. It was a simplistic version of what made a Charlie Brown character happy. Each page started with Happiness is.. then whatever it was that made the character happy. If only real life was that simple. Happiness is only one small part of what makes us who we are. A myriad of other emotions all play a role, each one just as important as the rest. I believe happiness exists, in moments of time. However, I don't believe one should strive to be happy all the time. We need to experience other emotional states. It makes more sense. There is no magic trick to putting the past behind you. Sometimes keeping one eye on it is what you need. It can be a struggle to balance past and present, one my son is battling again. As always, you've made me think. Something I appreciate. Today I'm a hot mess. I'm not sure if I fell asleep as I was walking the five feet from my bed to the bathroom this morning at 4am, or if my blood pressure bottomed out on me, but all of a sudden I found myself on the floor. Some bumps and bruises and a sore neck, but otherwise okay. I honestly think I fell asleep as I was walking, if that's even possible. Pretty sure I'll be sporting some new black and blue color variations in a couple days. Glad you're feeling better @Mikiesboy . Hope everyone has a good day!

From the very first chapter to the very last it's an amazing journey for Jay and Loren. Being a part of this from the rough drafts, the edits, the parts that got added, the parts that got trashed... was an opportunity I wouldn't trade for anything. A great gem of a story with a little bit of every emotion thrown in. Well done, Mrs. G. Well done.
