The strength we get when staying strong in spite of something is like nothing else you can experience. Finally realizing that you had that strength in the first place is what make us who we are. It's an amazing accomplishment to come out on the other side of adversity and realize you're still here, you made it and you're a better person because of it. Have a good day tim and everyone else!

It doesn't take long to get hooked into this story. I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans Will gets into! Thanks Mark for another great chapter!

I'm with you on the "crazy lady feeding all the cats in the neighborhood". We have a few of those in the community I work at. No matter how many notices you give them they keep feeding the feral cats. Although ever since the coyotes moved into the neighborhood, there doesn't seem to be as many cats around. 🤫 My older son wants to get a dog next summer after they move. He told me that he needed a dog because he was starting to actually like his girlfriend's cat and he's afraid he'll become a 'cat person. 😄 I've never heard of vinegar to repel trash bandits 🦝 either. It's worth a shot! Have a good night!

Because I just can't leave things alone... Yesterday my son got called into work for 3 (he was scheduled for 5). After I dropped him off, got home, settled in and was thinking about a nice shot or two of whiskey, he texted me and asked if I could get him some Subway. *sigh* Me, being the good Mom that I am 🤭, said sure and told him to text me what he wanted. A foot long. He wanted a foot long.......... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have a choice??!!😆

That'll teach you to leave the kids unattended! And wait...halo? Hmmmmm...🤔 Not sure about that. Me? I wear the horns proudly...👿

Would you believe all the king options are on back order or out of stock? They look nice too, and not super expensive.😒

I knew this thread was gonna go off the rails as soon as I wrote the words. I love that y'all have the same warped sense of humor as me! 🤣🤣🤣

I have deep pocket sheets and there's too much extra material. I think they're made for 16-18 inch depth. I don't like it when the sheet bunches up underneath me. Get your mind out of the gutter! 🤣 Although when my husband asked why I needed a tape measure and I said I needed to measure twelve inches. We both cracked up. I have clips like that in my mom's room. I need to get another set. The ones I have for our bed are alligator clips and they eventually pop off. At least we know what the sound is now. I guess I'll keep looking. I saw some really nice bamboo sheets. They were $260. No thanks. I don't mind spending some money on sheets, but not when it means no groceries for two weeks!😲

Looking for suggestions. We have a 12 inch king size memory foam/gel mattress. I can't find a brand of sheets where the fitted sheet will stay put. It seems like standard king sheets are now made for thicker mattresses. I've had to buy garters for the sheets and the first time one of them popped off in the middle of the night we both bolted out of bed thinking someone was shooting at us. (Our headboard is solid wood so it was loud!) Hope everyone had a good day!

I had sort of a bittersweet dream last night. I dreamed that I was in the car with my Mom and she turned to me and said "let's stop for a drink somewhere." Then the dream got weird and we were trying to find a seat at this really long restaurant that was on a pier. Nobody had masks and whoever was bringing us to a table couldn't decide where to seat us. In my dream the dementia was gone and she was my Mom again.

Overall this day has really sucked. With the exception of this forum. It's the only thing that has kept me sane today. Thanks everybody for making a shitty day, well....less shitty. (When will my autocorrect ever learn that I swear? It needs to stop correcting my curse words!)

🤣🤣🤣 I once panicked because I couldn't find my phone. I was nearly in tears. My friend found it. She was laughing hysterically....from the other end of the phone that I was holding in my hand up against my ear! She let me panic for a good two minutes before she broke down. I will never live that one down!

I hold a PhD in forgetfulness and can teach an advanced level course. If only I could remember where my reading glasses are? 🤔

Those are so cute tim! Those needles however...I would probably poke an eye out if I tried to do that. Enjoy your knitting!

Looks like there's a little bit of ferret thrown in for good measure. Thanks for sharing Reader. I needed a little bit of cuteness. Been one of those days.

Good morning all! Did you ever wake up and just felt like something was going to happen (and not in a good way?) I've been antsy since I woke up and can't figure out why. It's probably lack of sleep, but I just can't shake this weird feeling that shit is about to hit the fan. Hope everyone else has a good day.

Hi Starry! Good to hear from you!

How I missed this new story being posted I'll never know. I'm chalking it up to burnout brain! I'm so so so so so happy to have these characters back! It's been an interesting start and one thing is for sure.... Will is still quite young and has yet to develop the savviness that JP, Stef and Brad have. It will come, with time and maturity. I'm sure that there will be a lot of mistakes and heartaches along the way. But when he reaches that point.. .the CAP world had better watch out. He will will be a force of nature to be reckoned with and I have a feeling he will be the most savvy of the bunch. Thank you Mark for bringing these wonderful characters back into our lives. Looking forward to another enthralling installment of this saga!

So, I wore my new boots today (did I mention they're really cute and totally nonfunctional? They might get me thru a light dusting of snow if I ever venture up north in the winter). My feet did ok considering I very rarely put socks on. But still, it felt really gooooood to kick them and the socks off when I got home. My toes may or may not have called me a bitch for cooping them up all day and were quite happy to slide back into my flip flops to walk the dogs. Have a good evening everybody!

Our little dog just gets up and walks away with a "deal with it" attitude. Big dog looks at his butt like it's an alien and there's nooooo way it could've been him. If I say his name he goes and hides in the closet. Lovable morons. 😂
-
My dogs have pulled me down 3x in the past 5 years and I was lucky each time. I really don't want to test my luck a 4th time. I used to walk them after dark, but now go at sunset. There are 2 houses that don't ever clean off their sidewalk and I've nearly fallen a few times. Idiots must not know how to use a broom.

I'm with you there tim! I'm far enough south that I'm probably never going to see a flake, which suits me fine. Ice scares me. I slipped and dislocated my shoulder and that was when I was in my 20s and rehabbed pretty quick. I hate to think of slipping now, I'd end up laid up for months. We usually have the ac going in Dec too. It only gets shut off for a few days each winter if we get a cold snap and the day temps don't get above the 50s.

I decided to wear my new boots today. It was 58F (14C) when we left the house this morning. Almost needed a jacket too. 😊 It still cracks me up after 12 years in Florida when you see the natives bundled up like they're at the North Pole whenever the temp drops below 60. You have a good day too tim! That goes for the rest of you too!
