I spilled some jalapeño juice in mine a couple of weeks ago and when I used it this weekend my whole house smelled like a jalapeño popper! (But the jalapeño chicken was amazing!)

Pumpkin spice can be a combination of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger and/or allspice. It's really the allspice I don't like. I like the rest of the spices. Contrary to it's name, allspice is not a combination of a bunch of spices. Allspice, also known as Jamaica pepper, myrtle pepper, pimenta, or pimento, is the dried unripe berry of Pimenta dioica, a midcanopy tree native to the Greater Antilles, southern Mexico, and Central America This concludes today's lesson on spices. 😁 I've never heard of delicata squash. I'll have to look that one up.

Obviously I'm not a pumpkin spice fan, but for those of you who are I encourage you to enjoy your pumpkin spice lattes, muffins, cookies, potato chips, and other assortments of food items, but please, for the love of balance in the universe...leave mac n cheese alone!

I like my boss, I really do. But she's driving me insane. The owner of the property and our regional manager are gone, but they left a laundry list of items that need to be addressed. Which happens every year after they're here. She's just been snappy and bitchy all week because of it. I can't tell you how many times I've bitten my tongue. I really don't need to be bitched at just because I ask if the guys emailed her the picture of the hole in the road yet so I can do my damn job and put a work order in. I'm glad I took a half day today. Younger son has a follow up orthodontist appointment this afternoon. I'm just going to chill in the car while I wait. Ok rant over.

I vote Asia. When I worked in travel I had to research the Trans Siberian Express for some clients. It would be an amazing experience. I also had clients who took The Ghan journey in Australia. They loved it.

You're quite right. This group is rock solid, no matter how long any of us has been around. In the short time I've been here I've found a great group of people. We all know that tim is in good hands with you there to be the steadiness that he needs, even if that means leaving him be. We all have those times when we have to shut out everything but the basic day to day necessities. Thanks for passing along our love and support. (For both of you)

I will join you wholeheartedly! If there was a PhD level class in patience, the final exam would be enduring an entire day of those meetings. My dissertation subject would focus on '1000 ways to tune out monotonous moderators'! (Beuller? Bueller?) My biggest pet peeves? Those who don't mute their phone and the idiot (and there's always one!) who asks a question about something that was already covered. I always feel like screaming "Weren't you listening??!!" Give yourself a pat on the back molly for surviving!

Thank you for letting us know that tim isn't well right now. Please take care of yourself too. We miss tim, but we'll be here whenever he returns.

My sister-in-law sent me a text earlier to let me know that she and my brother-in-law (my husband's brother) signed their divorce papers today and the judge will sign off on them tomorrow. I'm so happy for her. He dragged this out as long as he could (they separated over 4 years ago) It was this time last year that our world was shattered when we discovered what a manipulative, sick bastard he is. It just sucks that we can't say anything to anyone on that side of the family. It would devastate my mother-in-law and she doesn't deserve that. I lucked out, she's a wonderful lady and we don't want to hurt her. We will need to say something once the travel restrictions ease up. There are now three little ones that need to be protected. Before Covid he would visit practically every holiday. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I hope everyone weathered their Monday OK. It was quiet here today.

I'm not sure how long it will be before I have another story to post, but hopefully not too long. At least with a shifter story I can play around with reality!🤣

Thanks Mags! There were plenty of times when I had nothing actually planned out. I just hoped for the best. I think it turned out ok. I've started rereading the shifter story and I'll probably get back to it. It's fun to write, you can make stuff up as you go 😆 Thanks again for reading!
