I've had a busy day so far. I'm manning the office by myself and everytime the phone rings, the second line has to start ringing too. One at a time people....one at a time! Got out to lunch late, had people show up with no appt to look at a house and then had people waiting outside the door when I got back. When it rains it pours! I just hope they make an offer!

I'm lucky that Florida is more like the 'fake South. Although I have found myself using 'y'all' way too often, and I do know that 'bless your heart' is most likely an insult. I hope these travel restrictions ease soon. I need a trip up to Mass so I can call everything 'wicked again! Shor yo riiiiight!🤣🤣

Thanks Alex! I'm glad you said the first story was difficult to read. A lot of parts were difficult to write. It was supposed to be that way (sort of). I've taken a short break from writing so I can read (and reread) the story I already have started. I need to get my mind to switch tracks so I can continue. I'm almost there.

Fall has finally made an appearance here too. Walked out of the house this morning and the humidity was gone, a nice light breeze and 68 degrees. Should go up to the low 80s today. I enjoy Florida's "cold fronts"! 🥶 Have a good day!

Today was pretty good until my husband discovered the dog using my thumb brace as a chew toy. He took it off the nightstand next to the bed where I forgot it this morning. Replacement is ordered but won't be here until Sunday. Lovely. It'll be five days of just a little bit more pain on top of what I already deal with. Damn dog. What I don't get it that when he steals my stuff, he chews it. When he steals my husband's stuff (socks) he just buries it in his blanket. He's weird and not very bright. He's lucky he's cute. Jerk. 🤨 Hope everyone has a good night!

Good morning. Things are better now. This weekend sucked. Saturday started with a text from somebody close to me that was extremely disrespectful and presumptive, not to mention it totally pissed me off. It all snowballed downhill from there leading to a night of way too much alcohol. I just had so much anger in me and nowhere for it to go. Anger is one of the most intense emotions when it gets you in it's grip. I've calmed down and let it go, but it took a while. Hopefully things will stay on an even keel for the rest of the week. I'm trying. I really am. I really hope to make it through the rest of the day without snapping and becoming somewhat homicidal. The odds are not good.

On a sad/unsettling note, I had to cover the office next door and one of the maintenance guys gets on the radio and says there's a guy sleeping up against the fence. One of the other guys goes to check it out and says that he can't wake him up. It looks like he fell off his bike because it was partially under him. They have no clue what to do. I get on the radio and asked if he was breathing. The response was yes, but labored. So I called 911. EMS got there in less than 10 minutes. They were able to get him to respond, but he was pretty out of it. When the police searched his cargo shorts pockets for ID all they found was a knife, a bottle of water and a massive wad if cash. Unfortunately it was in all likelihood an overdose. It just makes me sad.

Yeah...now that I don't miss. Nor getting back to the school at 1am and having to unload the trailer. Also, I can't tell you how many times I pretty much dropped a kid with one look because they tried to hand me their uniform and it was hung up all cattywumpus. I'd shoot them the 'Mom' stink eye and tell them to hang it up the right way. 🤣 At least I can rest easy knowing that there are several dozen kids who learned how to hang up clothes properly! (My son was mellophone in band, French horn in life. He's getting his degree in Music Theory)

If anyone had asked me four years ago if I would miss all the blood, sweat and tears that went into making sure a high school band was ready for the Friday night game, I would've said 'Hell no!' I sorta miss it. Once a band Mom, always a band Mom!

I'm picking up a couch, loveseat and chair for our living room. Second hand, but barely used. I'm just happy the couch has an actual back to it and not a bunch of throw pillows. Best of all it's free (except for the cost of getting a uhaul pick up truck). Other than that...getting my mom and cleaning the house.... Have a good day everyone.

I've always found Cajun to be hit or miss. I had white chicken chile that came out good. Of course I just had to throw in some jalapeños as I was out out the mild green chiles. So what was for dessert anyway?

I still like chocolate, but I'm pickier than I used to be. I guess I'm now a chocolate snob. That is exactly why I'm eating jalapeños while I still can! I've already had to kick most other spicy stuff to the curb..🙁 Does loving the smell of chocolate count?😊

I've kinda been on a jalapeño kick lately. Which is funny because I used to not like them in anything but salsa. It's weird how your tastes change as you get older. I used to love anything chocolate and now I'm like, meh.

I don't think I'd go as far as to make something, but if I'm out somewhere and I have the opportunity to taste a bite or two....well, that I could probably manage.
