The way your characters talk always gets me all gooey inside 🥰 it's so freaking cute! You have a gift for good dialogue. Back when i was that age there was way more four letter words sprinkled in each and every sentence 😂 we thought we were so badass dropping f bombs and yo mama jokes lol kids can be such dorks, adorable dorks though

Rafe can fly right? I mean..... Why not just fly away? 🤦 That bit with rafe and Andre almost sorta flirting was adorable, one of them is gonna crack sooner or later 🥰

NOOOOOO!!!! Everything is going sideways, they walked right into that trap with bells on. What on earth is happening to our beloved heros. This is just like when wren died, straight outta left field no warning at all. I hope Loren survives, poor Suman, he's batshit crazy but apparently also deeply in love with Loren. I hope kalian and Talon eviscerate that POS and burn his whole army to smithereens. I loved wyn's pov but I'm sorry it had to be filled with so much fear and worry. This power of his is very interesting, he was able to hear his father's screams from who knows how far away all because he can listen to nature.

A short little story for some light reading before bed. Short and Sweet, very sweet and much too short 😛 My only complaint being that it's already over. Excellent work as always.

Omg this was so cute Such a fun little short story, I very much enjoyed reading it. Matt and Jeff make a great couple, I'm glad they had fun with it and could laugh about it after getting gunked lol We didn't have tests like this when I was in high school! I would much rather have taken this one instead 😂 would have made for a much more enjoyable high school experience lol

I was chewing my fingernails at the thought that this could be the granddaddy of all skwish. We've already broached the topic of "superusers" to quote one of our friends (I think it was Ricky). It stands to reason that there might be someone even more impressive than our Nicholaas is out there somewhere. Who better to tell the story of skwish than perhaps the first person to get it!? Who would it be though if such a person exists? We've already got Santa Claus aka "the big guy" and history's favourite theif Robin Hood himself. Who's left? There's so many places this storyline could go depending on where @Geron Kees takes it. I'm so excited for more!

Excellent story as always! I was not expecting max to just show up like that. It's not surprising in the least that elves had to interfere to preserve the skwish capabilities of the human race. They would have inevitably gone the way of the dodo if left in the general population. The human race is uniquely talented in tearing itself down and destroying all it's progress. Going down to the lower layer to talk to trasker was a great ending, very clever. I'm going up the walls now though wondering what all they ended up talking about and what new reality the gang and chirka chose to explore next! P.s considering the shock at seeing max all of a sudden, I think that's the most lukewarm welcome he's ever received 😂 normally he gets tackled to the ground and smothered with hugs and kisses lol

Well I'm glad someone finally said it! I love all these guys and their zest for life is what makes them so endearing. That being said, sometimes they give off the impression of childish naivety in their ideas and the way they go about things. You need a healthy dash of cynicism to make it in this world these days and robin has it in spades. At 800 years our favourite thief has seen some of the worst of humanity and he understands that sometimes you have to cull a rabid animal for the good of the herd. The way he spoke about the human race as needing to grow up and see the writing on the wall before he'd be willing to stick his neck out for them was well said. Until the world as a whole digs their heads out of their butts it would be pointless to swoop in, do their dirty work, only for the human race to repeat the same mistakes because they've failed to learn anything.

It's like squealing, but to the point of wheezing 😂 Idk where I got it either but I imagine it's the sound you make when your celebrity crush likes one of your posts on social media 🤷

Omg wren and wyn have the most adorable dynamic, I squeeed when wyn said wren cuddled with him in bed when he had nightmares 🥰 (That was a brain twister so many w words that sound the same) I totally agree with Talon, leaving wyn in the dark can only make him more vulnerable. How will he know he's in any danger if he hasn't been made aware of it? I also agree that it was idiotic to leave the council intact after the fall of the monarchy. Every government official not already allied with kalian should have been executed immediately. If they stood by to let it happen once then it would certainly stand to reason that they would again.

@Geron Kees has quickly become one of my favourite authors ever, he never disappoints with his amazing stories and characters. If I'm ever feeling down or having a crappy day I always know that I can crack open any story he has and feel better by the end. I find his style to be very whimsical but also very realistic and even informative! It's obvious to anyone who reads his stories that either Geron is a jack of all trades or lives in a library and reads encyclopedias for fun 😜

OMG yes!! Waiting for the holidays is much too long 😱 releasing stories any old time regularly will definitely not be frowned upon. I was so pleasantly surprised when I got the notification that I squealed like Kippy does when keerby pops by!

The only holiday I can think of that lines up with this newest book is st Patrick's Day. It's not the 4th of July, or Halloween, or Christmas, or even Valentine's Day!? It this genius loci a leprechaun? I'm not complaining I'll take literally any holiday you want if it means I get more Boone time 😂

YAAAYYYYY!!!!

I'm chomping at the bit for my next Charlie Boone fix! That's the problem when you binge read a series that hasn't ended yet 😆 you gotta wait after reading 22 books in a row lol I'm so taken with these guys that I just binged the whole series AGAIN after I read them all the first time at the end of last year lol so many characters I want more of! So many places they've promised to come back and visit but I haven't heard anything about them since. Like the alternate reality pyewacket sent them too where they met the werewolf and the Sasquatch, or the boojum universe they saved when they broke through the door to the elf world, robins mind place where they insisted everyone remember them so they could come visit, and PLEASE tell me they'll be frequenting the lower layer to have lots more fun and adventures, while also making leaps and bounds with their magic! Also, when they visit the lower layer again kips longtime dream of hugging Billy and Will physically can actually happen! I can't wait to see how browbeat fits into their lives going forward, will they introduce him to their families as a very well trained exotic bird? Or perhaps it's finally time that Charlie's gang leaves the nest and gets their own place to live? So they can have everything out in the open without worrying about unsuspecting parents wandering about the house while they're not home. It's really too bad they have to keep up appearances on earth, I'd be moving straight to engris! I almost forgot about the elf dreams! Why haven't there been more elf dream quests!?!

If I were these guys I'd be on a one way ticket to elf school! Get their time wielding buddies to finagle things so they don't disappear for months unexplained and learn everything and anything about their new powers. Charlie and the gang won't get 600+ years to slowly acclimate to their abilities, at least I don't think they will? So why waste time!? I'd be doing my damnedest to get as strong as I could asap.
